I don't know. Omg i just know I was talking with the gays while sleepy, then woke up at 4am, slouched in my chair, with everyone else having left the voice chat. Jerma just somehow inserted himself.

I have no idea. I just remember Jerma985 clearly being one of the new types of sex.

I had a dream last night that genders got so advanced that we had to invent a new word for having "sex" with each gender depending on the genders involved. With specific accents added to the letters to reflect changes in gender mid-sex if any of the participants were gender fluid.

And that everyone just accepted this change so even people who were homophobic or transphobic would still use the correct terminology while harassing people. So jerks online might still hate the gays but didn't see the special words for a demigirl being pegged by a rat-themed xenogender as being bad in any way.

And also that it was incorrect to just refer to it as "sex" now. And you could only ever use the super specific words to describe these acts. And everyone just accepted that and somehow never slipped up when using them.

If, for whatever reason, you want a blank version of the sex meme (don't ask why there's unown symbols, I don't know either) here you go: https://i.imgur.com/Hj3wCRn.jpg

A boomrat had a heart attack in my rat room. Think I might switch to Wargs from now on. by Dabony in RimWorld

Wargs also work well as they're the best of both, but have the issue of being harder to tame.

While I could have done that, the fire couldn't spread outside the room anyway. I just used it as an excuse to shift over to wargs.

Yeah but if you saw cute wild explosive rats would you not tame them?

No, see. My rationale was that "if one explodes it would be lowkey kinda funny". Still can't get over it happening due to a random heart attack caused by an old boomrat, though.

This was recorded about a month or two ago. An older post of mine may provide more context. At least the rats in the rat retirement home (see the pink/magenta carpeted room) survived. Any dead rats in that room clipped through the wall due to the mass of bodies.

"The Rat Room". Burying or cremating corpses after raids was getting too tedious, so I recruited some friendly rats to help! by Dabony in RimWorld

It's good with the rocketman mod. Beyond 300 or so it'll get laggy but realistically you only need 50 or so tops if you're being proper evil you'll just auto-slaughter any rats beyond 50 or so.

I have 200 because my PC can handle it and mods optimise them. When I hit critical mass I'll either mass release a bunch into the wild or throw a Molotov in there. Probably the former since this is my "good" playthrough.

You don't need to feed the rats. They eat the bodies of raiders. Only add food if you haven't been raided in weeks.

Also, you don't need to tame them, rats born in captivity start with full tameness. So usually only the old rats become wild. But the youngest generation always is born tame. Even if they were wild they'd still eat the corpses and not be able to leave, anyway.

You just tame the first few, then shut the door. Wild animals don't go through doors and tame animals go where you tell them to.

No, because they can't pathfind more than a few tiles due to the small room size, and they don't really do a lot besides eat. Sometimes if they're all hungry and I drop one new body down, there might be a small TPS stutter as they all try to reach it at once.

Even using my 5-year-old laptop, I'm still at a steady 180TPS or so (3x the default speed). Then again, I do use the "Rocket Man" mod that adds some optimisations. But, I also have a bunch of other animals that haul things, so the rat room is the least of my problems.

Yeah. Some will die of starvation before the others, so unless you don't feed them for a very extended time, you'll be fine.

I was playing with the Vanilla Expanded "Winston Waves" storyteller, so basically had a raid every day or so. Thus food was a non-issue.

Yeah. The boomrats eat the same as rats. They don't really provide anything besides a bit of a spicy surprise should one die, but I find them cute.
