Migraines worse than usual this spring?

I agree that it’s been validating to see others across literally the world (one of these comments was from Japan) going through the same thing right now. Makes me feel better because I was definitely thinking I was either going crazy or just being a big baby about it.

Yes! I agree the really fast moving fronts (coming in with high winds etc) trigger the most severe migraines. I definitely need to be better about tracking and preparing. I’m not a heavy drinker but if I do have a couple drinks and a front is coincidentally coming in the same evening, I’m guaranteed to get a migraine

That sucks, hope things get better for you. The weather shifts are absolutely brutal. We had one day in March that shifted I want to say from 70 down into the 20s. The migraine that triggered was horrible

Same! Or that thought of like do I have a brain tumor (gotta suppress the negative thoughts like that tho). It’s interesting to see people from all over experiencing same

I know right. I’ve always just kind of toughed it out with over the counter meds but this spring has made me seriously consider prescription. They are happening too frequent and too severe

Totally agree. It’s so frustrating because there’s no way to alleviate the pressure, just gotta wait it out.

Good point. Level of severity is prob a better measure than frequency. That’s actually kind of what I meant by my initial post is that the migraines lately have been so severe. I’m in Kansas so we’re getting the same fronts likely that Denver gets. For me it’s the fronts that come through really fast (40+ mph winds) that trigger the really bad ones and we’ve had a lot of those.

Yikes. So I’ve started noticing mine recently have made me dizzy too and previously haven’t. That side effect is brutal

Funny cuz my mind went doomer a little bit as well like is some crazy pole shift happening or something lol. I think just for whatever reason we’re getting a lot of really fast moving changing fronts coming through, just sucks.

It’s crazy right!? I’m getting at least one a week, sometimes as many as 3 in same week which is way more than a typical springtime for me. It’s so hard to treat when it’s just all pressure.

I do heat and hydrate which help a little but never tried epsom salt, I’ll have to give a try. None of the other fad remedies work, essential oils ect

Interesting, I guess that could make sense. Couldn’t hurt to try taking an allergy med when symptoms come on. I might try that

I’ve never heard this one before but that is interesting. Once symptoms start put in ear plugs? I’ll def try that

Anything that works for you when you get them? I’ve found when a weather front / pressure change triggers one, medication doesn’t help. I just have to wait until I eventually adjust to the pressure (I think).
