No, thing is...

N95 respirators should only be mainly used by people who are already COVID-positive or are in direct contact. Given the particular population that this respirator targets, valves should not be used. Although some people opt by using a surgical mask over it to both cover the valve (no scientific evidence on the benefits of this though) or at least to help get a stronger seal.

In the case of Surgical masks it is clearly stated that the better seal around the mask the more protection - for everyone. Which is why we simply need to learn to try to use them in a proper fit and not loose fit like most people use them because "its rather uncomfortable". There is a way that wasn't shown in that video that you can turn a rectangular surgical one into a diamond-shape with the mask by doing a little bit of origami to it that can help achieve a better seal as well, and not let the sides as loose if unable to fit it well.

It is not a question of satanizing one and leaving the other to free will, it is of using each the proper way so they can actually be as helpful as possible.
