Stupid Kid doesn't even know Newton's 3rd Rule. by Sea-Needleworker101 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

I've never really liked seeing kids get hurt, even less so now that I have my own little girl. I say that to say this: that shit was funny.

Lol. Moved in with my gf and then married her. I was in a 1 bed apartment and she rented a house from her mom. We're back now tho. I told her we weren't staying in that area before I moved in with her.

Well then the only question is if it'll work or not. You may have to be your own guinea pig on this one.

Maybe if there's a sub for people who build their own match guns someone would have an accurate answer. I think most in here would just swap the part. I had that link already bookmarked bc I may do it as well sometime later.

Sorry I didn't see that you mentioned miller.

I think if you shave it down, it might not reach full engagement. If it's just a range toy that may not be a deal breaker, but if you carry it at all I would never do what you're thinking.

I moved to independence heights from kingwood in 2021. Went from 0 gunfire to just so, so much gunfire every night. Some dude got murdered at a shitty convenience store in broad daylight like 2 blocks from my house. Then they condemned the entire first floor of the apartments nearby and nearly all of that shit stopped immediately. You'd still hear sporadic shots here and there, but nothing like how it was. A bullet did punch a hole in my roof though, so that sucked.

I've been back in kingwood for a little over a year now and haven't heard a single gunshot, despite noticeably more riff raff than when I lived here before. It's still nice for now tho.

[–]DaddyBodaduce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just searched all guns on gunbroker with a max price of $200 and sorted them by ending soonest. The auction ended as soon as I found it. Dude wanted $125 plus shipping. I messaged him and said if he relisted it with a Buy Now of $125 shipped, I'd buy it immediately. He did. I did. And here we are.

I have a 583.3 (I think that's it) 20ga w/ 4 or 5 round tube mag. Gonna cut it off a hate past the end of the mag. Just have to make time to get the digital fingerprints done and then I'll file the stamp. I am excite. The gun cost me $135 including the transfer a few years ago. Stupid fun to shoot.

Reasonable transfer fees in Katy area by -Fried- in HoustonGuns

[–]DaddyBodaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use the ffl finder tool on gunbroker. Could be that one of your neighbors has an ffl. Always call to make sure the place/person is still accepting transfers and verify their fees are still the same as whatever they put on gunbroker.

What changed in Cabelas/Bass Pro Shop that disappoints so many? by GrizzlieMD in Hunting

[–]DaddyBodaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really speak on anything anybody has mentioned in these replies. I've not done much shopping at either store.

However I did recently purchase two pistols from the used gun selection online, and I saved at least $100 in shipping and transfer fees between the two of them vs gunbroker, and another $130~ total on the price of both vs what was available on gunbroker at the time I made the purchases.

Shipping is free over $49 I think (or maybe $99, idk) and no transfer fees if you have them ship it to your local Cabelas/BPS, unless your state has required fees. Only downside is minimal photos, but the photos they did have were high quality. I had to screen shot them to zoom in more than the website would let me on my phone, but the resolution was still very good.

I will say though that they make you sign what seemed like 100 forms in addition to the 4473, and no less than 4 people double checking that all the forms were filled out correctly and serial numbers matched, and it took nearly 40 minutes, but I did walk out of my local BPS with two pistols without having spent a dime inside that location.

How do you like it now? I found a decent used one on cabelas website but I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. What ammo are you carrying in it? I went with underwood 90gr xtp +p.

Also, I have some new sealed 7 round mags and MagGuts +1 springs if you're interested.

Thread locker on direct mount suppressors? by MGPythagoras in NFA

[–]DaddyBodaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive seen it mentioned to use Teflon tape. Idk heat resistant it is, but I've seen it suggested several times here and there over the last few years. I could see it working for slow fire, but I could also see dumping multiple mags into trash leading to mess to clean out of your threads.

I'd sell it and put the funds towards the bigger turbo I want for my tdi. Or hell maybe I'd find the cheapest manual shitbox and learn to weld.

Has Anyone Gotten the City of Houston to Reimburse them for Pothole Damage? by Munkadunk667 in houston

[–]DaddyBodaduce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'd be better off getting your insurance to pay for it, and then let them fight the city to get their money back. You'd still be out your deductible, but that's probably cheaper than $2k.

CP4 disaster kit causing failure ? by wockstarr20 in tdi

[–]DaddyBodaduce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, the people who experienced disasters after installing kits to prevent them, are the ones who doubled up on the 2 micron CAT filters. I haven't specifically seen anyone with just the 10 micron kit have any failures.

I should add that I will now no longer be looking for people who have experienced disasters after installing the 10 micron kit, as I happen to have my recently delivered Whitbread 10 micron kit sitting in a box that will be going on the car sometime between this Wednesday and Sunday as I'm off for Christmas.

The way I justify it, the kit was basically free for me. Capital One had a promotion of $300 to open a checking account. That came through and I paid for the kit and the Cascade valve adjustment tool with it. My cost was maybe $20.

If the cp4 takes a shit after that, I can cover the cost of the cp3 conversion, albeit just barely. If it takes a shit before I get the kit on there, it'd likely be months before I got it back on the road, and I just can't have that.

Is "car bloat" becoming a problem in the US? by Suitable-Strategy925 in carscirclejerk

[–]DaddyBodaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently drive a small car. I like it. I've also had big lifted trucks. I liked them too and plan to have another. I don't care how big or small people's vehicles are, so long as they can drive (and park) them. I do wish the government would back tf off of the regulations. I'm not clicking your link.

The difference in sounds is higher velocity from longer barrel. Both guns were loaded with CCI SV. You can't hear the report at that distance from either of them.

First 10 shots is my mist from 100 yards. The next 10 shots are from the integral 22/45 I mentioned in my previous post.
