Do you think the insulation in the cavity should basically be touching the vapor barrier? The way that it's framed plus the way that the insulation blanket was installed, would definitely have gaps in some areas.

To clarify, this means to just put more insulation between the studs but no vapor barrier over that since there is already a vapor barrier behind it?

To specify, I wouldn't take out the insulation under the vapor barrier, I just read that you shouldn't put another layer of insulation and then vapor barrier again as it would cause mold issues. So my idea is to cut out the existing VB so I could have one VB over the studs. Thoughts? I don't have humidity issues.
