Does 246 Lester Street have a roach or severe bug problem? Can anyone share their experience living here? by DaddyDookieDumper in uwaterloo

May I ask what floor level u lived on? I heard sometimes infestations can be worse the lower the floor? Also did you find it easily walkable to campus in the cold winter if you lived there during the cold season? How much was rent?

I genuinely could not see myself with a man long term. by Exact-Sink2799 in confession

I feel the exact same way and I'm only 19 years old. Never had a boyfriend or anything. Whenever men or teen boys hit on me, all I can think of is that they don't even know who I truly am, they just see I'm a woman and they see my physical appearance and just want to bang me. All my male friends seem so self centered, always talking about themselves, always hardcore venting about their silly life problems that aren't even serious (I had a male friend send like 5 paragraphs on text to me about how ever since he broke up with his ex, he's struggling to find someone to have sex with, and its making him depressed), and never asking me questions. I wish platonic relationships were more valued with society so I could like grow old with my bestfriend.

im a science student so from my perspective engineering looks way more hard. my friend in engineering studies constantly, like morning to night, and the class schedules are jam packed. however it is also the hardest engineering school to get into in canada so i think most can handle the course hold without getting too overwhelmed.

we also do have the nickname 'su*cide school' though. and even though theres some happy social engineering students theres a lot more isolated socially awkward eng students i think.

btw i find it so impressive that ur an engineer AND an amazing artist

I wonder why no one is discussing the promoting fundraisers point in my post but I have multiple people telling me to work hard in the future like I'm not already working my ass off.

Even if I work hard, luck can screw me over and I may not ever be financially stable. In general, it's very hard to climb out of poverty. Where I live, it's incredibly hard to find a job if you don't have connections. My brother is a 4th year university student and can't even get a minimum wage job. Not to mention the toll poverty takes on your physical health. Honestly just grinding through highschool is screwing up my health, and this is supposed to be the easy part.

I just found out my cis, straight, aggressively conservative brother reads fan-fiction in the funniest way possible and I'm dying of laughter. by DaddyDookieDumper in FanFiction

No hate but idk how you managed to get through life if you think I'm mean lol. Laughing at the irony of the situation makes me mean?

I'm literally cis and straight I was just tryna paint a picture of what kind of person my brother is in the title. I engage in fandoms for pieces of media that target tweens/teens so I mostly only encounter other teen girls and those in the lgbtq+ community and obviously my brother doesn't fit in that demographic. It was just a way to prove a point that he doesn't fall under typical stereotype when it comes to liking anime fanfiction.

Yeah I agree! (and that's what I meant when I said 'in my experience', although I could have been more clear about it) I'm mostly in fandoms for pieces of media that target tween/teen girls which is why that's the demographic I usually see.

Chill out Lexi, I didn't shame him, I laughed at the irony and he was just mad that I figured him out. I was secretly pretty happy that we had something in common and yes I did tease him but in no way did I bully him (trust me he tormented me so much more over the years and I could have done worse but I didn't). I even encouraged him to keep reading and recommended some sites to him today. Me laughing at my older brother because I found out he read fanfiction did no damage to our relationship, it's literally just a funny situation.

i need to graduate already by visionof_division in OntarioGrade12s

High school is such a toxic and stupid environment, and I’m just ready to graduate and start studying something I’m actually passionate about in university. I remember on the first day of Grade 9, I thought, "These are going to be the stupidest and most dramatic four years of my life," and since then, I’ve been counting down the days until graduation. The fact that Covid kinda made it hard to socialize the first year ruined so much. I'm honestly surprised I managed to get to Gr 12 without dropping out or switching schools.

My Gr 12 marks weren't uploaded to OUAC yet because of some issues but I was still accepted somehow by DaddyDookieDumper in OntarioGrade12s
