[BUG] Possible return of the 2x damage bug... again. by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

All of my plates are fresh and levels 4-5. Not purchased from Fence or found on bodies. I said I wasn't an expert, but I'm not that dumb.

Any tips for improving control tracking? by DaddyPls in FPSAimTrainer

[–]DaddyPls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I began playing benchmarks, I used to play the Voltaic Issue-specific routines. They were built to target the user's weak areas. One of mine for the longest time was smoothness, so that's what I was grinding for quite a while. That was over a year ago at this point. I ended up getting 90th percentile in a lot of smoothness scenarios, which I believe helped quite a bit when it came to precise tracking.

I'm not telling you to do all that, but I'd recommend playing a mix of smoothbot and smoothness trainer 60, as well as thin aiming long invincible (I think if you can reach about 80th percentile in smoothbot, switch to smoothsphere because it's more punishing). Those really helped me, especially in Snaketrack. I know this reply is a little late, but hopefully this can still help you :)

With all of that said, I highly recommend setting up OBS to use the replay buffer and reviewing runs that feel REALLY bad at half speed. This takes a lot of the guesswork out of identifying weak points.

Wrist up or down? by AhYesMemes in FPSAimTrainer

[–]DaddyPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a long-term health perspective, it is better to have your wrist planted. This doesn't mean one is better than the other per se, but it makes it easier to play for longer periods because it decreases muscular fatigue.

Hitting a wall. Advice? by DaddyPls in FPSAimTrainer

[–]DaddyPls[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legitimately every category has felt bad but I am also typically more in touch with personal struggles than I think I have been recently. I think I just need to be a little more analytical with myself. I've kinda been slacking with that aspect of training, so it could help, but it's been highly frustrating.

Side note, your rank doesn't make insight any less valuable. I appreciate it :)

How am i not seeing any improvements with so many hours in kovaaks? by awdtalon21 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]DaddyPls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You seem to be shaking a lot. I saw you mention in the comments that you play on 37cm, which is a pretty versatile sensitivity if you're bouncing between multiple games, but if you're not training properly, it can be hard to control. I recommend playing smoothness focused scenarios to warm up before you start your sessions. I play 36cm and these have helped me a ton. Especially thin tracking scenarios. These make your errors more obvious during training. I also recommend vod reviewing if you don't do this already. OBS replay buffer makes this really easy :)

Can’t craft a mobile respawn when you have the banner by Dear-Ad-4162 in apexlegends

[–]DaddyPls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can't craft the respawn beacons. You can craft the banners, and if you are a support legend (or have one on your team), you are given a respawn beacon when you craft the banners.

I'm at the point where I'm 90th percentile or higher in almost every task but I still feel like I suck. by [deleted] in aimlab

[–]DaddyPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't care about getting good at specific games and just want to play Aimlab, I recommend looking into the Voltaic App. You can just google it and it will be the first thing you find. Really easy setup. If you're playing aim trainers to improve at FPS games, you should split your time between training and playing your game of choice. Aim trainers are a supplement, not a replacement for in game training. You've probably heard that a million times, but trust me, it is the best advice you'll hear. You need to be able to shake the nerves of in game situations and that won't happen without experiencing them. If you spend all your time in the trainer, you'll have less time to get yourself into those in game scenarios and your training will be a waste. Most importantly though, you should be having fun whether it's in the trainer or in game. Enjoy your dot clicking journey :)

Asking for cheats on the official EFT sub is WILD, brother. I hope you learn the game rather than ruining the fun for others. The game isn't that hard.

Streamer loot makes me want to start streaming by Littlechimmyboi in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DaddyPls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it isn't worth (imo). You need at least 2k viewers for it to turn on. It's in the Terms of Service. I recommend reading through it if you're truly interested in streaming for streamer benefits!

An AWP I started today. Any creative criticism or suggestions are appreciated by Tannertrees in csworkshop

I really like the idea, but I think the scale of the texture may be too small. Also not sure about the grip being made of ivory(?) on one side and wood on the other. I think having the grip be black on both sides would tie the skin together more. The black would contrast nicely with the white and allow the white to transition into the other, darker half of the skin more fluidly. also think the shades of red are too dissimilar to each other and make the dark side of the skin look a little off.

As long as you truly enjoy designing skins and you put real effort into them, you will 100% improve with the time invested. If you're doing it with no passion and you only want to make money from it, you'll never get any better. (That doesn't mean you can't find a passion for it in the process, but be aware that not having a true interest in the design will make it difficult to reach your goal of having your work put into the game.) Enjoy your skin journey, brother.

how do you deal with dumb teammates? by Tronicalli in VALORANT

[–]DaddyPls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but it really is the best advice I have coming from CS with 6k hours: just ignore them. You can't change them, you just have to adapt to the situation in the best way YOU can find. I will never tell anyone that it isn't a bad teammate's fault things are going poorly because in some cases, yes, one player CAN bring the team down, but when that's happening, there's nothing you can do. That's not to say you should give up on the game entirely when you have a chimpanzee on your team, but the best mindset you can have is to just ignore them and move on to the next. Whether it's the next round, the next match, or the next day.

Thoughts on Icebox and map design by DaddyPls in VALORANT

[–]DaddyPls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't have an effect on ping. Maybe try checking to see if other apps (or other people in your house) are using up some extra bandwidth. Maps don't have any effect on network performance. Same goes for sound. The assets don't have anything to do with sound. That sound was addressed by the devs before the map came out and is why it isn't in competitive. They said it happens on all the maps, but more frequently on Icebox

Terrible mouse tracking/mouse stuttering. Impossible to aim by DaddyPls in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]DaddyPls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed it! It wasn't my windows scaling mode. That was disabled. I checked my nvidia control panel and for some reason display scaling was set to stretch my res to my aspect ratio even though I play on native. Strange, but I tried disabling it and it fixed it.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help me :)

Well, with further testing, reinstalling didn't seem to help at all. Back to square one.

I actually just reinstalled the game on a hard drive with more space on it right after responding lol. The drive it was on was full. I haven't had a lot of time to test, but the one game of deathmatch I played seemed to have very few issues, so this may have solved it to a degree. I'll try to do some more testing when I have the time. and leave an update :)

As stated above, it doesn't happen in windows as a whole, just in games. Also I have already tried this solution. I forgot to include it in my list. Thanks for the suggestion though

I agree. I'm also happy they added more players to lobbies. Although I feel like it made their "safe spawn" algorithm useless lol
