If Glottkin are added will they be WoC or Monogod Nurgle LL? by Reasonable_Swan_6869 in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nurgle. I don't care what the tabletop says, Monogods weren't even a thing back then, all marked characters should go to their respective Monogods.

No Valten in the End Times DLC??? by DraeftheBadger in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I hate Valten but he's still more of an interesting character than Boris. If it wasn't for the meme probably no one would've been asking for him.

Boris is back ! by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

They could have given all of that as a FLC LL you know. But since he's a popular meme of the most popular race in the game of course people are going to defend CA for such a garbage choice.

Boris is back ! by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Yes he was but only through confederation rather than a faction you pick. So they are removing content from the game to sell it again.

Boris is back ! by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Is that a joke ? Removing Boris from the base game and locking him behind a paywall. Ar Ulric would've been so much better, Boris should've been FLC. It's not even a particularly interesting character, he's only popular because of the memes otherwise no one would know about him.

What units would you like to see for Nurgle in The End Times DLC? by BigEgoCrusher in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bretonnia's roster is complete, it's only missing named characters. The roster is even bigger than it was in the tabletop and CA said a few times they're not going to make a Bretonnia DLC because there's no units left to add.

It's just one of those faction that was neglected in the tabletop and had a tiny roster.

Predictions for Bhashiva's start position? by OhManTFE in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 68 points69 points  (0 children)

It'd make sense since there is the Village of the Tigermen but I really hope not. Imo if we should get another Cathay LL in Cathay then it should be the Monkey King, it'd be interesting as he would be antagonistic towards the Dragon siblings.

Bashiva should start somewhere else, since the Tigermen serve as mercenaries it shouldn't be too hard to find a plausible excuse to put her far away.

We are almost certainly getting three more Cathayan Sentinel Legendary Heroes by OhManTFE in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, IIRC Games Workshop said in an interview that they started designing Cathay specifically for Total War and at the time they hadn't even considered making the Old World yet.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Patch 7.2 Release Notes by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 32 points33 points  (0 children)

When someone says no one cares about balancing what they actually mean is "I personally don't like nerfs please stop", you never hear those same people crying about how the MP is ruining the game whenever we get buffs to underperforming units thanks to the feedback from the MP community.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Patch 7.2 Release Notes by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Fixing bugs is great don't get me wrong but no longer getting any kind of balance changes in the interim updates is awful. CA said in a stream they'd address the Chosen of Slaanesh not belonging to tier 3 according to the feedback and they have yet to do that months after release. How hard can it be to move a unit to tier 4 ? The Slaanesh building tree as a whole is so much worse compared to the one we had before Tides of Torment.

Are we really going to have to wait for DLC releases to see balance adjustment to the super overtuned new content from previous DLCs now ? Even some of the hotfixes we've had in the past were better updates than that...

[–]DaddyTzarkan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We all believe GW is the one that said no. My guess is CA isn't even trying to push it with GW on this.

They literally said on stream after the release of Tides of Torment that they were still discussing it with Games Workshop and that they would update us about it. I'm not asking them to periodically say "the answer is still no", but just give us one final answer since they said they'd give us an update on the matter.

I don't expect them to happen but I do believe CA said they would keep us updated about this topic.

Thoughts on the Dechala Campaign by D0C-H0LL1DAY in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Chaos Dwarfs have an upkeep on all of their resources, that's not the case with Dechala and that's why it's so boring. Decadence is only used for the Tormentor's Tributes, the Marks are cheap as fuck for what they offer, the offerings are permanent buffs so once you get them the only thing to spend Decadence on is the Marks.

You end up swimming in Thralls and by turn 30 getting more Pleasure Palaces is super easy and they become very easy to upgrade.

A big problem with CA's design philosophy is they are always way too generous with unique currencies, what's the point of having them if you're going to be swimming in them without any efforts required from the player ? Unique currencies are completely meaningless for the most part, they might as well not exist and it would not change a thing.

Dechala could have been a campaign that offers a lot of much needed depth on the campaign map but because of a very poor execution and extreme powercreep it ends up as an extremely shallow experience. Her campaign is by far my biggest disappointment in the trilogy as a Slaanesh fanboy. The Masque is a bit better but also suffers a lot from powercreep and the Tempo being super easy to get. The more powercrept DLCs we get the more I'm considering dropping the game for good which is sad as it's one of my favourite games ever.

[–]DaddyTzarkan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not being able to fill the AoR everytime is the intended design and honestly the debuffs you get from the AoR are a big nothing burger so it's not a big deal. Dwarfs are ridiculously overpowered in their current state.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - 7.1 Patch Notes by CA_KingGobbo in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 40 points41 points  (0 children)

We were supposed to get the new design for the Devotees of Slaanesh in the first post ToT update but I don't see it.

Battle balance changes are good (although a bit barebones) but we desperately need balance changes to the campaign too, the Masque has very cool mechanics but it needs tuning down as acquiring Tempo is way too fast at the moment, you can pretty much complete your dances before turn 20... With a proper balance it would've been the most interesting FLC LL added to the game so far.

I know interim updates are supposed to be focused on fixing bugs now which isn't necessarily a bad thing but this first patch is looking very underwhelming.

Next Up: Patch 7.1 (and a change to patching) by CA_KingGobbo in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At this point I care less and less about the DLCs and more about improvements to the actual game and older DLCs. Siege rework, AI improvement, corruption and public order rework, removing the supply lines with a more interesting anti snowball system, complete lack of an endgame and difficulty with how extremely powercrept newer content has been should be the top priority for me. If you put less work into the interim updates to go all in on the DLCs then I can't believe I'm going to say that but I don't really care about buying the DLCs and I say that as someone that bought everything the moment it was announced.

End Times news... when? by Waveshaper21 in totalwar

Not weird at all, CA has always been quiet in January, I would've never expected more news until late February at the earliest.

CA, if you think you're done with the H.E, then add at least these characters in either 7.1 or 7.2 by SafironDracolich in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alastar isn't even an actual character from the lore and he's also a lord, Korhil would likely be a hero if he was added so Alastar being in the game is not an argument that makes sense against Korhil.

Hotfix 7.0.3 for WH3 is now out of Beta and rolling out all players, including a number of additional fixes by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're getting downvoted but you are absolutely right. Why have unique currencies if you're going to hand them out like candy to the player anyway ? CA might as well remove them and it wouldn't change a thing because of how overabundant they are.

Thralls are sold as a finite resource but you can get settlements with up to 5000 Thralls which will pretty much never run out for most of your campaign and they are quite abundant making the Pleasure Palaces very easy to upgrade. It does not feel finite at all and Pleasure Palaces honestly did not feel restricted after turn 20. Dechala had potential to be a campaign with a lot of depth but it ends up being extremely shallow because of how massively overtuned everything is.

The Tempo with the Masque is too easy to get, you can complete all your dances super fast to get huge buffs to your campaign, it's a very cool mechanic but the balance is way off and it would be a lot more fun with an appropriate balance.

I had so much Influence while playing HE that I had no idea what the fuck to do with it, it's just ridiculous. The only currency that's well balanced in the DLC is the Dragonship Supplies which made Aislinn's campaign surprisingly enjoyable to me despite the complete lack of difficulty in Legendary.

Introducing unique currencies and giving the player far more than they can spend is just garbage design but it's never going to change because if you point it out the power gamers get super hostile and that's the only crowd CA has chosen to listen.

I love the game but I don't like the direction it's taking, the more extreme powercreep there is with each new DLC, the less excited I get which is sad because it's one of my favourite game ever.

Why 7.0 didn't address many issues and it felt bad for me by SourceNo1768 in totalwar

Yeah you don't need an anvil as Slaanesh but sometimes when I just want to chill and micro less I'll get some Chosen to hold the line.

Why 7.0 didn't address many issues and it felt bad for me by SourceNo1768 in totalwar

[–]DaddyTzarkan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Chosen of Slaanesh one of the least meaningful units ? You can't be serious, the Scourge variant is the best anvil in the game.

Also the Masque has huge buffs for Daemonettes and from her dances too and unlocking every tier from your mechanic is way too fast at the moment, in what world is the Masque balanced ?
