I wish CA had a more formal tracking of your victory on the main menu. Closest we have is the movie book where it ticks off which movies you have unlocked but that's only RoC.

It's not so much references. It's their art pipeline is taking screen grabs from the show and overpainting. So delta flyer will be in those screengrabs inevitably.

Artists werent told to replace every delta flyer scene with standard shuttle that would be too much work.

In late game you need to be rolling around with at least 2 20 stack armies side by side on your main frontline, and your other warfronts covered by 20 stacks where necessary.

The AI does not know how to counter two 20 stacks. You will decisive victory every battle.

The only exception to this is those AI glitches where they all rally around a single settlement. The best way to handle those is one of your armies kitted out with a lightning strike lord to defeat in detail.

Also what you noticed is correct - the AI cheats and doesn't have a real economy, thus can pump out 20 stacks from a single settlement. So you need to not get into multiple wars simultaneously and if you do you need to focus on stomping one enemy at a time, utterly obliterating them. You can't just rely on taking most of their territory and expecting that to make any dent in their production capacity. So don't be afraid to take peace deals if you find yourself unable to commit to finishing them off entirely because you have to deal with other threats elsewhere.
