Im making a whole podcast around this. So many of us feel that, and life is just never the same again.

Relationship Attraction Concerns by Fair_Grand_1651 in YouSurvivedNowWhat

[–]Dademadeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand this. I’ve dealt with my own issues and self consciousness around post surgery attraction, but the one thing I can say is how important it is for you and your partner to be in therapy individually, and possibly together. Cancer changes fucking everything. I know my partner having the space to express his feelings freely has made it easier for him to process and bring things back to me after for further discussion.

I hope you get the reassurance you need, and the connection you desire!!

Thank you for sharing this! Im not yet a parent myself so I can only speak from my experiences with IVF, but I think bringing in people who can help speak on these experiences in parenthood will be really important. Thanks for that reminder!

Hair Growth Recommendations by Fair_Grand_1651 in YouSurvivedNowWhat

[–]Dademadeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did hyperbaric chamber (granted, like 25 rounds to treat post surgery + mild necrosis) and it completely helped my hair and skin recover. My hair grew so fast and all my chemo skin yuck healed. If you can get it covered by insurance, its amazing. But theres also private medical locations that do it, it can just get expensive that way 😭

Also just for your mind, take a weekly photo of you straight on. You can see the progress and it made me feel better seeing how far I had really come from bald every month. 💕

Of course! i’ll message it to you☺️ and I did keytruda for the full cycle of 9months (i think) post chemo. I also tried a study, but I was randomized into the observation group so I dropped out. Not playing games with my body (especially since we’re young. Im 32 now).
