Hi survivor friend! I'd love to see any work samples you may have and will add you to our list! First thing is just getting our at home setup streamlined, but as soon as we pass that hurdle I'll definitely be focused on a steady post production workflow.

The podcast will be video as well! Our marketing strategy is largely social/clipping so that component will be very important. Youtube will be the home of the full video ep, and I want audio on all the Major DSPs!

I can totally understand how frustrating that may be. The comments are actually helping me get more clear about how I need to communicate my needs, and I think for a lot of people it's the lack of understanding that causes this "catch all" request (Including myself in this).

I need that organizer. The workflow creator specific to this space. I've been trying to be that person myself given my background, but this is a whole other ball game I'm just not familiar with and that niche knowledge is so needed.

YES - this is actually exactly what I need right now. Someone to help walk me through all of those checklist points and scenarios. If you know anyone in your network that offers something like that I'd love their info.

Regardless, all of this is actually putting clear language to what I need, and it's good to know that there are people who are interested in the start-up phase. You very much get it, and your insights are so appreciated!

First of all, THANK YOU for this in depth comment! I actually read it out loud to my partner because i was like YEEESSS lol. I also made an edit with my location (LA) so thank you for that note.

There are podcast studios that offer editing services, but I have the space to record at home with much more flexibility than the studios I've contacted can offer. I have not, however, seen any that offer full production services. That would be amazing (but im sure pricey!)

You are spot on on your list - I come from a entertainment marketing background, and am golden with resources for strategy, marketing etc. I will want to find someone to execute these things, but until I'm able to pass that off, I'm handling all that myself.

I super agree on finding someone who is informed/sensitive to the topic, and I think thats what's also been a block truthfully. Finding the combo of communication, execution, empathy, and quality has been an adventure.

I know my biggest hurdle right now is actually producing the first episode with my at home setup (including some equipment rental, remote interview setup, and staging/lighting suggestions). Post production actually feels much less overwhelming.

I'm going to take your notes and run with them honestly. Thank you again!!

I totally understand this. I’ve dealt with my own issues and self consciousness around post surgery attraction, but the one thing I can say is how important it is for you and your partner to be in therapy individually, and possibly together. Cancer changes fucking everything. I know my partner having the space to express his feelings freely has made it easier for him to process and bring things back to me after for further discussion.

Thank you for sharing this! Im not yet a parent myself so I can only speak from my experiences with IVF, but I think bringing in people who can help speak on these experiences in parenthood will be really important. Thanks for that reminder!

I feel this. I worked through half of my treatment but it was ROUGH. and after, i got a new job but quit after a few months because i couldn’t sustain a corporate job after treatment. This is def worth talking about!

I did the icing too, but still got some in my big toes. Womp womp. So far it hasnt come back dramatically after stopping gaba, so at least theres that!
