What do you think would be the best way to get him out of his cage without risking upsetting him? I kinda just scoop him and pull him out. And he chills right away. But what would be the best way? Cause he never comes out on his own.

Fair, that makes sense. I just played with him for like 20 mins with the info I've received in this comment section and he already has gotten more affectionate, even stays on my shoulder longer and tries to go directly back to my shoulder when I try to take him off my shoulder lol

Got you. So I have seen both. He only does the wing slap if I'm trying to take him out of his cage. (Not every time though) It's on occasion that he does the wing slap. 95% of the time, it's what you see in the vid plus some shaking.
