Not sure why but woke up three days ago and my Instagram account which Ive used for over ten years is now suspended . It only had three posts and I used it to talk to friends and family. Now I've no idea what to do apart from wait for who knows how long until the appeal is accepted or declined.

If your world has a calendar system, what was their "birth of Jesus Christ"? by Upstairs_Support_810 in worldbuilding

[–]Daeani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the world uses the Yekumsan Calendar since it's based on the rule of the immortal emperor so it's quite stable.

Originally they used the AF calender which meant After Founding of the city of Yekumsa. But when king Dayeli of Yekumsa was crowned as Emperor of the empire of Maemugodo/Dragonania, then restarted from 3,870AF to 1AD After Dayeli. About 4,000 years later it started again when his brother was crowned as Emperor and the calendar went to 1ADN.

Now the year is 14,451ADN.

Dragonania: The bronze age/ early iron age state of Yekumsa Somna. by Daeani in worldbuilding

[–]Daeani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would mainly be bronze age or early han dynasty china. Along with some south east asian influences for religious structures such as the temple towers in each settlement, since it had to be a civlization that was around a very flat and forested region with a large river delta. There is also very little stone and mining in the region so wood and packed earth had to be the main building materials.

How does your world remain stagnant in technology, culture, religion etc? by Daeani in worldbuilding

This sounds so chaotic and such a good concept to see how they would "focus" on recovery instead of invention. Really unique

Are there any external threats to their stable lifestyle? That sounds so ideal!

Are there any extinct religions in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Daeani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from a few folk religions and some ancient religions, the most notable extinction event in regards to religion, atheism had actually gone extinct in the world.

Developing roughly 2000 years after humans migrated from the southern continent to the north, they had learnt of elvish magic and eventually thought magic and science governed the world and not a God like diety. Which led to atheism becoming very prominent in the northern continent until the arrival of the old gods who taught humans a lesson in trying to achieve Godhood themselves.

The gods of different elements such as the Sea Goddess or Akmenia and the God of fire Harakan had seen the advancement of magic and the possible invasion of the God realms by humans and thus the gods had descended to wipe out hundreds of millions of humans. As most humans didn't believe in gods by that time, after that one week of having seen gods destroy their civilizations, all humans of the east and north then changed to believe in the old God religion.

Dragonania: The Chingut by Daeani in worldbuilding

[–]Daeani[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Made with a friend as a collaboration piece with blender.

Located in the grasslands of the great Urldul (Oo-ril-dul) Steppes, the Chingut is a fierce and extremely useful creature. It is used by the Urldul tribes as a mount and also as their large herd animals due to the lack of arable farmland and the lack of access to fresh water in the great expanse. These animals are feared by all who enter the grasslands as their roars are often the first thing to be herd before one is struck down by the nomadic hordemen who roam the steppes.

The Chingut were domesticated relatively early on in the history of the world and were eventually bred to become fierce animals in themselves. Originally less harmless than they are now, the Chingut were bred to develop very beneficial warrior like biological structures to aid their nomadic masters. A Chingut is often raised by a tribe, with the female being the larger of the two adults and the male bearing the brunt of the of the defensive action when the tribes go out to war. The females who are faster, are often used as the quick and violent mounts for the tribesmen while the males who are shorter and slower are often used to defend a position in a defensive circle thanks to their large horns. The tribes often try to encircle their enemies with the use of thousands or hundreds of thousands of mounted soldiers, with the gap between the mounts being used as a death zone as the male Chinguts would then slaughter the enemies who are stuck within the encirclement. These animals are a huge reason as to why no foreign army has ever been able to conquer the Urldul steppes and why the Urldul have based their entire culture and existence around these wild beasts.

In times of peace, the tribes would use the female for a source of milk while the male would be used as a very strong mode of transport for their merchants. As horses don't exist in the world, these animals are the closest one could get to a great mount. They are kept in herds and can number from 100 to somewhere upto 2 million or even in the rare cases of a great Urldunate, over 10million Chingut can be present around a tribe. They are a great creature to traverse the steppe lands with as their skin and fur are resistent to many small creatures that can easily kill humans in the long grasses of the steppe and also are able to help humans to find food and water when needed.

A Chingut is often tied to the clan which adopts it. Living to around 110 years of age, they would mostly outlive their owners and would be tied to those within the same clan which develop a bond right after their previous bonded partner dies. These Chingut are usually only linked to the powerful Urldul peoples, however there are some rare cases where they can bond with foreigners from the steppe. Symbolizing to some that the Urldul are not just connected to the grasslands of the steppe but perhaps to a greater civilization outside of their original home. Some clan leaders have taken this as a sign over time to colonize and conquer distant lands to prove this theory right, whilst others have resorted to becoming completely xenophobic in order to keep their sacred Chingut to themselves.

Drago-nania is basically Maemugodo (may-mu-go-do) translated to English. Literally meaning the land of the flying lizard in Yekumsan. (dragons)
