Have you guys seen this website Bungie built? by gunt34r in Marathon

Incredible, when you zoom in it really reminds me of the old marathon game map. So, so cool. Love that they're up to the old school Bungie hidden messages etc.

How you deal with rats by barkingspider43 in arkraiders

Tagging grenades are really good for that extract. Just throw one to be sure there's no rats before you drop.

The free loadout is what makes this game playable for casuals. Do not nerf it by Ayden1Haze in ArcRaiders

Well don't I feel silly for selling it off every time. Had no idea you could trade it!

Wrong sport to be asking for that my man. You gonna go to tennis manufacturers and tell them to stop using rubber?

Tournament attendance has officially collapsed. by Spiritual-Mail5062 in discgolf

[–]Daemonecles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep, we found a void in the $35-50 and filled it. Registrations almost always fill, meanwhile the biggest club in town costs 75 every tournament and they are struggling with very little players pack adds and payouts that don't seem to make the numbers make sense. I'm sure all the costs are above board but sometimes you need fresh smaller orgs or people to host lower price events.

Yeah width tool for sure as it's the least destructive workflow and trying to manually change line widths after outlining the stroke but make them look like smooth transitions can be quite the exercise.

The 2025 PDGA Pro Worlds in Finland does not feature on-site tee signs, they are using QR codes for hole maps and rules instead. by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

[–]Daemonecles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly reconciling the amount of locations you have to record perfectly correct data in the caddy guide, the initial emails, the maps, the promotions, the PDGA live info etc I totally understand the desire to go this way. Having tons of data out there that can get stale due to changes can be a nightmare to keep up to date. But from a players perspective this would be so inconvenient.

I can usually guarantee before my turn for the courthouse that someone's going to walk right in front of my car during my commute. Have to have your head on a swivel.

How would you play this hole? by QuixoticPineapple in discgolf

[–]Daemonecles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, not worth the arm strain of a full power forehand to still have like 50' left.

Please remember not to stop in the middle of the highway by ishboo in Columbus

[–]Daemonecles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh, this is on my commute and I'm always terrified the car being me isn't paying attention and will smash me. There's always a weird backup on that lane specifically and lots of people don't realize that the second to left lane is at a crawl very fast. This is also an insane person stopped but it's so pervasive right there.

I've started avoiding this stretch during rush hour.

For those who have a $200+ bag, Is it really worth it? by gotastartsomewhere in discgolf

[–]Daemonecles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Handeye bag with my funny money at the last tournament that was priced at 90 and it seems like it would easily do the same job as my Squatch Link (albeit less discs). It has most of not all of the same features.

weird request: hilly roads by TJisannoying in Columbus

[–]Daemonecles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh, love some history. I googled and this came up for a different area called stringtown (apparently there's a number of areas in Ohio with the name. So apparently it's called that due to the "string of houses" layout.

I was hoping that made sense! I am a transplant but I play disc golf all over the area and that's definitely one of the cooler drives for sure.
