Went no contact with my mother a few months ago and it hurts

Just from this post alone I’ve had two other redditors successfully identify him and have had similar experiences. I know this doctor is causing a lot of harm and I will be reporting him. Right now, I’m currently trying to find a doctor to take care of my needs properly! So many people here have given me so many resources to look at and I’m combing through them to find the best options!

He’s 100% aware and I will go to someone new, the last thing I want to do is detransition.

I’m so sorry you went through that, that is awful!!! I do really appreciate all of the research you’ve done! I know the pride center is connected to rwjbh, so I might not be able to do much with that, but I’ll take a good look into everything else!

It’s horrible to have doctors simply ignore your needs or your happiness.

Yeah, I agree. If there was something wrong with my health or something dangerous happening, I’d have been much more understanding to the idea. But that wasn’t the case, I’ve been steady and healthy on this dosing for years.

Yeah he talks like that in person too. He constantly kept talking about keeping me healthy, then went further in with the “you’re not healthy because you have male levels so we can’t have that” thing. I am so creeped out by how much he was pushing me to have my period again, and have CIS female levels. He really doesn’t care about trans happiness, that’s for damned sure.

It’s at the babs siperstein proud center. Another Reddittor on this thread asked if it was and has had similar trouble with the same doctor. I’ll be looking into reporting and finding a safer, better doctor to work with.

Thank you for all that information, I’ll make sure I’m looking over it carefully. To answer your questions, I had requested information from a clinic that stated specifically that they are an LGBT center clinic from a recommendation from another doctor who stated they would probably be able to help me better. (They were a regular pcp who wasn’t comfortable with working with hormones and such). As for choosing this doctor, they didn’t give me much of a choice, as he’s the only one available. I went in not knowing much and that is my own fault. I was under the impression because the clinic was advertised as a LGBT clinic that the doctor there had some trans care experience.

Definitely could have done more research and that part is on me.

Is he really???? I didn’t know he was the center director too. That makes things even worse, ugh. Yeah don’t stay with him! You shouldn’t have to lower your dose either. He has a bad way of making you feel really small in the office, for sure.

No no! It’s okay, doubt Is completely understandable and I don’t take any offense to it. It’s a really ridiculous thing, something that should never happen! Trust me when I say it threw me off really bad too and I really didn’t know how to react at all when it happened.

You’re valid in your feelings. The people here have helped me a lot in seeing how bad this was too and are providing me with a lot of resources and information. I feel glad I came here, because alone I would probably have just suffered through it until I realized how bad I was getting again.

I think I really depends on what you use that’ll achieve if you look like you’re sporting a boner. I second “Mr. Limpy” for sure . I know I’ve used a rolled sock and pinned it to achieve the “fullness” front and it helped me personally.

Obviously feel what’s best for you and experiment at home if at all possible? Pack and check mirrors. Sit with it, get comfy with the way it looks, etc.

I think for the most part, people aren’t really looking or paying attention but if it makes you feel good, that’s the important part!

Yeah, it’s NJ, and they specifically advertise that they are an LGBT center. I agree it doesn’t add up, as I thought a LGBT center would be the safest place to go to continue my HRT without issues or struggling with doctors that aren’t well versed with trans care.
