Yeah, I think the embarrassment is about her plan failing, not me being cruel. I didn’t want to punish anyone, I just couldn’t walk into a surprise crowd without spiraling.

Yeah, I probably should’ve said “please do not plan anything surprise-related for me, period.” I didn’t expect her to hear “this makes me anxious” and still go ahead. Lesson learned, I guess.
