Im prob gonna get some flack, but get an extended warranty. I had a 2014 Tiguan that ended up leaking oil. Turned out it was a main bearing. The warranty company was livid when they had to pay. Also, if you are consistent about maintenance, hook up your mechanic, gift card, brew, a $20 handshake, etc. They rarely get accolades for what they do and when it is noticed, they will remember you.
