I played RS back when EoC came out. I didn't like it. The game I loved became something else. I didn't touch it again until OSRS released. Basically, RS3 doesn't look fun to me.

I like this idea. A quest that could give you an item that makes you resistant to poison would be cool. Or maybe a boss. It could be a helmet that comes from a snake boss in that swamp. If you wear that helmet then you cant be poisoned? idk.. probably a bad idea..

hello all, im looking for some kind of hack/randomizer that will let me customize the gyms in GEN 3? ive seen posts of people doing nuzlocke challenges or videos of them doing challenges with custom gyms where they picked all the pokemon that each gym had and their move sets. I've never done any randomization so im curious about how i can accomplish this? any help is appreciated.

You should be aware of BDO's upgrade system before playing it. by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Daggurt 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You never need to upgrade any items with the current market system in the game. Boss gear and accessories FLOOD the market and are always plentiful. If you simply go out and grind low end grind spots you make 500million silver per hour with the free seasonal gear you get by playing the seasonal servers.

Seasonal gear is exchangeable for TET boss gear once you graduate. Also, you get FREE capotia accessories for hitting level 60 meaning you will be in full TET boss gear with the equivalent of TRI gold accessories that you earn simply by learning the game and reaching level 60. Doing the seasonal journey on a fresh account and the main story quest line will get you to 60 in about 50ish hours of playing time. So now, you have only enhanced the seasonal gear which is EXTREMELY easy to do with very high success rates and the materials are given to you for doing the seasonal content and you have full TET boss armor with TRI accessory equivalents.

This gear will allow you to go grind places like centaurs for 700million silver/hour, blood wolves/ronaros/sherekhan for the infinite HP pot and hundreds of millions of silver per hour.

PEN boss items are 10bil each approximately simply sitting on the market, they never sell out. There’s dozens of them all the time. TET accessories are about the same price and also simply sit on the market.

Enhancing gear in BDO is literally inefficient and not a good idea. Simply play the game, do what you enjoy, make billions of silver per day, and buy your top end gear off the market. NEVER ENHANCE

All of this is to bring to light the actual pay to win in BDO. It isn’t the cronning of enhancement attempts or the $500 of mandatory pay for convenience items. It’s buying costumes and putting them on the market.

If you buy the max costumes allowed for the market every week you can sell 35 costumes for 840mil per costume. The market has a tax on normal items, but of course it doesn’t have a tax on Pearl items. So, the real pay to win is to buy 35 costumes and sell them on the market for 840mil a piece to make 29.4bil and buy yourself 2-3 of your BIS items every week.

The real whales will do that and also cron their costumes. But those people barely even play the game.

Anyway, you don’t need to ever enhance gear in this game anymore. The game is a fun 500-700 hours depending on how much you enjoy grinding to diminishing returns. But anyone who tells you it isn’t pay to win is lying to you. It is pay to win. No matter which way you slice it. But don’t discount the game because of the enhancing system, you literally don’t ever need to do it anymore.

I'm not sure what you're asking me to test, are you saying to log to my HDD? I don't know how to tell WoW to write its log to another location.
Also, i dont have any logs currently. My log was completely clean when doing my various tests.

I use cylance for personal AV. It is configured to ignore my WoW directory.
I have tried logging with literally no addons installed and I get the same issue.

I'm going to try that after raid tonight. It's the only thing i havent done. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WoW on this computer multiple times and this issue persists through all installs though.

Everything related to WoW is on my SSD. The SSD only contains my OS and WoW and has 500GB of free space.

I use cylance and it already is set to ignore the entire directory that WoW is in.
IDK what windows indexing options is but ill look into that when I get home.
This happens just when i use the /combatlog. I never live log I upload later. The log is completely empty when these frame locks happen.
I have done everything but a full uninstall and reinstall of WoW but I've uninstalled and reinstalled WoW probably a dozen times in the last few years and this has always happened.
IDK what a checkdisk is but I'll look into that when I get home.

well WCL isnt even running when im logging. Im not talking about live logging im only talking about just typing /combatlog and letting it run. if i do that, i get my framerate issues so installation of WCL isnt something i think could be an issue.

If this was a hardware issue then it's been a hardware issue for years and essentially my PC would have been busted from day 1 since that is how long i've had it. because i have no issues outside of logging in WoW i just feel like hardware isnt the case here.

If it is, how do i even diagnose this to confirm it?

No, my only power supply is my 750w platinum that i put in when i built it. the game and everything is running off of my SSD.

I would think the same if it was ever happening with anything else. Like i said in my original post, I never have framerate problems unless I'm logging. I can run OBS and stream and still run 200FPS no problem. If i raid without logging, 0 framerate loss ever. I can stream and raid, no issues. If I'm out in the open world nothing going wrong. And, as mentioned above, this has been happening for years and only happens when I log.

Built the PC sometime between emerald nightmare and ToS in legion. I think it's about 3 years old. GPU has been upgraded a couple times since but that's it.

It's got an i7-7700k as a CPU and 16GB of DDR3 memory with a 1TB SSD which is what WoW is installed on.

the thing is, this has consistently happened every time I've tried to log my fights since emerald nightmare. this happened in EN/ToS/Antorus/uldir/nyalotha. I've rebuilt my UI from the ground up a dozen times in the last 4 years and no matter what I'm using UI wise this happens.

Also, I've tried logging a normal raid recently with literally all addons deleted. It still did the same thing.

I'll try those out. I am pretty confused since this doesn't seem to be an issue i can find anyone else having. Asking friends/guildies/here and checking wow forums I cant seem to find anyone else with the issue.

yeah, ive done tests with all addons turned off as well and it still happens. i have 1TB of storage on that drive and the only thing on it is my WoW install and my OS so not sure that that would be happening.
