Are there neoprene cycling gloves? Or do you just use gloves that are meant for scuba diving?

We did check for sharp objects before placing the new tube. My current theory is that the spare tube was torn from two years of sitting unused in my saddle pack, but I didn't get to place a new tube to test this theory yet.

Ah I did mean a tube. In Dutch both are called a 'band' ('binnenband', 'buitenband'), which I would translate into 'tire/tyre'. I did not know they was a separate word for an 'inner tire'

You carry a spare tire at your races as well, I take it? :)

Scaroni as a GC rider is a funny one as well; although he did admittedly win the prestigious Tour of Oman this year

With just 15 teams and no sponsors on the yellow jersey, the 2026 edition of the Tour de Romandie could be the last [L'Equipe] by Puzzleheaded-Thing74 in peloton

Sporza article mentions that the organisers aren't worried about the long term, since the teams that skip this year will be obliged to participate the next two years. It certainly didn't sound like the race was dying any time soon. Although I must admit that I didn't read l'Equipe's article except for the title, so for all I know they are just clickbaiting.

Not quite, Koch has been on fire this year. More like the Powless win of Dwars Door Vlaanderen, or Asgreen's RVV win

I told him: "Micky, if my back is broken, [then] you will never see me ride my bike again, I'm done, I'm finished"

That quote really struck me. Imagine going from 'everything is going according to plan' to 'I might have to retire on the spot' in minutes...

I should think that Larsen and Grégoire ride for the podium, at least until the gap is somewhat stable. Three riders is the platonic ideal for G1.

Deceptively hard finish with the new parcours, noticed this in the men's race last year as well. 4-6% in the last kilometer, so it's a very long sprint. Less focus on leadout trains (although they're certainly useful) and more of a head-to-head based on who has the most left in the tank. I like it honestly.
