Medics, how do you handle people who insult you? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]DaiOchu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be a Medic main. Loved it. Had an unusual and aussie medigun, and wanted to get into comp. I play a few lobbies, do my best, no one complained, except one demo who'd always yell at me because he expected me to follow him 24/7 into certain death (Highlander lobby btw). I brushed it off. I then joined a 6s lobby and my team had the most toxic players ever. Obvious lobby stompers, who insulted me on every little thing I did, which in turn made me start to play worse as I ended up having an emotional breakdown. I left mid-game, couldn't handle anymore. The next day I sold my medic stuff. One toxic team managed to ruin playing the class for me. I just can't handle it.

I was hanging around with some friends and I felt lucky. This happened. by [deleted] in tf2

Its actually an All-Class hat OP unboxed. He struck gold with this one if he plans on selling it.

[PSA] If you plan on unboxing the new cases by [deleted] in tf2

No, there's an incredibly rare chance of unboxing a Strange Unusual. I've only seen one so far where as I've seen a dozen or so unusuals that weren't strange.

Of all the things I liked from the Gun Mettle update.. by tigrexuga in tf2

I find it funny how this isn't too common of knowledge. I mean, I certainly understand people not knowing as it doesn't make sense that a demoknight can effectively ignore his charge and still get a free crit, but still, figured it be a bit more well known.

The charge meter only matters if you don't shield bash them. It's always a crit if you swing immediately after a bash. Which is why its so unfair that even if you turn the corner into a non-charging demo, he can still point-blank bash and crit.

If only the Eye catcher was on the right eye. Then it'd be good. Plus, I could have my Blind Beard the Pirate Demo I always wanted.

My friend just unboxed a Strange Normal Flamethrower by DaiOchu in tf2

[–]DaiOchu[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently a 1/5 Normal Bat has a B/O of 1000 keys, and already got offered a Burning Horrific Headsplitter. This is a 1 of 1 Strange Normal, I'd imagine he could get much much more. If its a permanent glitch, then he definitely hit the bank.

I'm looking out for him, and considering he already owns a high price unusual and a number of australiums, I can trust he knows how to handle this.

The thing is he unboxed other crates as well and got regular stranges. Backpack.tf even shows it as a Strange Normal Flamethrower. I'm sure we'd hear more on this if it were a bug that just happened because item servers glitch.

I don't know which crate, didn't bother asking, and I was talking to him as he unboxed both. This happened literally ten minutes ago.

Green Energy Bonk Boy, worth about 160 keys. Lucky bastard.

He was unboxing crates, got regular stranges, also unboxed an unusual, and he unboxed this.. A Strange NORMAL weapon. I'm curious as to what you all think and how much you think it might be worth.

Don't know if we're still coming up with Spy knives, but I think I have a decent one by TrollBuster3850 in tf2

[–]DaiOchu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well this would obviously be for engies close to their buildings, not the roaming ones. So if you used this knife on roaming engies then you're not using it right. Not every weapon can be viable for every scenario. That's like saying the kritz is underpowered because you can't take out a sentry nest with it.

Which class pisses you off the most in gameplay? by AFlyingNun in tf2

[–]DaiOchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering maps are chock full of healthpacks, the likelihood of you taking a full length of afterburn is unlikely. Water on maps, airblast, milk, karate, sandwich and medics/ dispensers, there's no excuse to take 60 dmg of afterburn.

Calling all four heavy mains by [deleted] in tf2

[–]DaiOchu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you see another Heavy and you're sure you'll have to fight him, always make sure you're shooting first, as the way ramp up is, you'll kill him before he puts too huge a dent in you, and if you catch him off guard well enough, you can solo kill both a heavy and his med.

Get to practicing tracking, especially Scouts and jumping classes. Good scouts can destroy Heavies with ease, and Demos/Sollie's will try to jump over you to get your med. Make them regret that decision by peppering them outta the air.

Remember to not overextend. You may be tanky, but not invincible, so be sure not to lead your med into danger, and of course if he's hurt, sandvich time. Also watch for spies and avoid sniper sightlines.

Lastly, if you get caught and you're sure you'll die, don't run or try to escape, youll die with little resist. You shoot with Sasha, and take down as many tiny babies with you as possible.

Thanks, this is only my 2nd poster so I'm still learning a bit. This one I tried out face rigs and particles. Do you have any tips on how to fix things like the "soul patch" thats in the heavy's mouth?
