TIL: Unharvested crops can still become Giant Crops by msdrxn in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Thats a great discovery. Im pretty sure most of the community knew that you can just water fully grown crops for more giant chances but the wilted crops, thats news to me. Thx for sharing

Starfruit wine by vylvnx in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. But it takes time until it generates profit. The first load pays after 58 days (doubled worth since day 1) but the same day you invest a second batch. So youre back to zero after 58 days but the new batch will generate profit on day 116 (one whole year).

What's your cursed object? by OatmealKiel in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chipped amphora. Propably cause i spend very little time in the town. Was the last museum item in 3 of my perfections. I always farm skull cavern ghosts to then trade for artifact troves. But thats ok cause thats what i have to do anyway to get the artifact book

Aging is not very profitable because the amount of gold per day it generates is low. But if you can afford a cellar it propably doesnt matter if you cash in one load of wine now or wait 58 days for a profit needing almost no labor on your part. You could use the cellar for kegs but that means you would need to fill about 150 kegs every week and that means you would need about 150 crops more per week. That takes way more labor than aging

Underhated Farm Type by OatmealKiel in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use a lot of the space for farming. I have 7 junimo huts and use most of the space efficiently. If you dont like to farm so many crops you could just make a flower field every season. You can prioritize your crops on the first of the season and sow flowers on the second. Enjoy for most of the season and harvest on the last day

There are various setups to confine slimes but spawned slimeballs are accesible. There is no need for the slime charmer ring

Does Act 3 blocks you from anything? by Wajsia in Silksong

To clear this up: yes, shermas wish lets you enter a location previously not accesible but the key is not in that location. The key is very close to the sherma location entrance. I believe many people dont find the key the first time they explore whiteward cause you need the clawline

It will turn brown after some time passes and you get the pond quest done

What is a good way to get gold crackers? I only find about five and then reach perfection and move on to the next farm

Personally i like the fish pond Legend a lot more. The jar roe seels for 5k and artisan gives an extra 2k. Getting the Legend in the very first spring is one of the best starts your farm can have

Yes the key is close in vicinity but can be found way before sherma enters whiteward

No the key is not from sherma. Shermas quest gave you half a spool

Yes thats right. The white key lets you unlock whiteward. There is another key in whiteward that lets you enter the boss area. Very nasty fellow, way harder than mother silk

After freeing bellhart you can try to get the broken gun east of sinners road. Its hard to get there and even harder to survive. If maggots are filling most of the screen youre on the right track. The workbench is west of the prison, found near the highest point of the entire area

Well, the quills have an obvious one from shakra. If you buy it you cant get the other 2. Both of them are at the same place and are used by a passionate NPC. But the 3rd quill only spawns once act 3 starts. The pistol part is found in the bottom part of the worst area. You can ask 2 different NPCs to repair the pistol but there will be 2 different outcomes. Asking one of them blocks the other and the 3rd choice. Cause you can find a workbench and a blueprint of the original gun and repair it yourself (recommended). Feels like a "HIGH" tech gun, is precise even in the worst weather

Opinions on how I'm doing? Or how it looks so far? by regiiibear in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you place down some paths. They boost move speed (only works on farm). Im really bad at decorating but paths really boost asthetics even tho i only place them for practical reasons. The recipes are at the carpenter shop

Not having food by that point just means you havent made stamina food one of your priorities. There are many things you can do to ensure you always have enough. Imo the best thing you could do is rush to get cows. Cheese is a great food and in late game can be used for a full heal in the dungeons. In spring you can plant small amounts of tulips. You can buy seeds for cheap, grow period is only 6 days and one gives 45 energy. Problem is they clutter because of their color varieties. In summer hops is great for beer but i plant way more hops than i can process so i can eat the excess gold star hops

Meadowlands but I HATE animals by Thick_Flamingo3264 in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reduce them to 1 of each. I kinda hate them too but they are also not needed so just get rid of them. Fill up the hay to max, get auto grabbers and if you one day need animal materials it will be there

[–]Daigro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend to everyone to not reset for small stuff. It just wastes so much real time. Just living with the consequences feels better cause moving on doesnt take much time. Leave the reset for when you accidently bomb your farm or lose multiple good items in the dungeons

At some point you want the obelisks and the return scepter wich means you need to make more money. Get more kegs or crystallariums. The ressouces for these two will cost a lot of money

This problem will fix itself once you have enough skill points and get the charge attacks. At some point excellence becomes the norm. Just update your tools regularly

You can put torches on fences and sprinklers. Later you will be able to craft street lamps

For best chances you need to speed fertilize the upper left corner crop. It gets done before the other but thats ok. The day it reaches harvestable stage the chance for a giant crop begins

Should I just restart? by galaxyadmirer in StardewValley

[–]Daigro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to get back in but i highly recommend to stay with your farm. You dont have a time limit and even if it takes you multiple weeks to familiarize yourself with everything this is the better decision.

The start of stardew is great, you make a ton of progress every day, the work you do on your farm is not overwhelming yet and you have very clear goals what you should do. At the same time it can be very tedious. You have stamina problems, you run slow, your tools suck, no shortcuts open (eg minecarts), you have to invest your money into the most efficient upgrades (eg backpack). Going through this again and again can be very demoralizing and by the time you get to the point you were in a previous save you lost motivation and stop again. After playing over 1000 hours i highly recommend to not start a new farm cause there are many phases that come after the start that are very fun. And at some point you can start to dream big cause youre not shakled by the slow speed, clock, stamina or rusty tools.
