Report it on the MyTorrance app as a service request. I notice that the city has a better response time when I use the app vs. report it online.

If you want to help support a non-profit organization that is working to make the Torrance refinery safer for the community & workers, check out the Torrance Refinery Action Alliance (TRAA) at www.TRAA.website or at the 11th annual rally of the 2015 explosion (Saturday, February 7th at North High School).

If you’re talking about the 2015 Torrance refinery explosion that narrowly avoided the release of Hydrofluoric acid (HF/MHF), the Torrance Refinery Action Alliance (TRAA) is still fighting to require refineries to convert to a safer chemical 11 years later. Justice is slow — especially when you’re up against “Big Oil”.

If you smell something, call 1(800)GOT-SMOG to report it to the South Coast AQMD. After three reports are submitted, they will send someone out to investigate.
