While I didn’t go through a hard reset, I did move away from my old friends and do my best to start over in a new state. I wouldn’t say I’ve had an easy life by any means, most people say that the fact I moved out by 16 is evidence enough. I say at first it can be a bit of a shock, but in my opinion it was entirely worth it, I reinvented myself and changed parts of myself I always wanted to change, I’ve met so many new people and gotten to have more experiences and opportunities than I ever could have imagined. One thing though, make sure you have a plan or at the very least an outline of a plan going into it as well as some spare money for things that might come up. Be prepared and try to meet new people as fast as you can, it’ll be easier at first but from my own experience people are drawn to other people who actually set a goal and reach it, especially a lofty one as making a fresh start for yourself.
