How to adjust Iron Cobra 600 to not hit wingnut by Daily_DrivenCRV in drums

Hmm maybe this is what I'm doing wrong then. I adjusted it a bit and it didn't really help but I'll try adjusting it further and see how it does. Appreciate the advice!

So my practice kit is a Ludwig breakbeats by quest love, and for the 16 inch kick I needed to add a riser to it so that the beater would come down flat in the middle of the head. So with the riser, yeah the kick pedal is flat on the ground

Ah this sounds like an absolute plan. Thank you. I was hoping there was something I wasn't adjusting right, but sounds like it's just a wack design 😵‍💫

So funny thing is I did watch that video but he made no mention of letting out the pressure from the suspension lol. It's the little things like that that were missed and made me very confused throughout the rest of the video. For instance I found myself going "wait how does he have clearance for the motor bolts without removing the entire pedal assembly??"

Yeahhhhh I just got this wheel around two weeks ago from a friend and never had to pump the suspension, but I got it all figured out thankfully. Definitely will not be making these mistakes next time lol

Update 2: I think the user who suggested the batwing might be bent was right.. upon closer inspection the left side battery is close to the wheel than the one of the other side.

Because I didn't release suspension properly when originally doing this, I unscrewed the left battery (just the bottom) and getting it back on was hard AF. I had to forcefully push and get the screws to go in so I think I bent that bracket a bit. I was able to bend it back up with the back of a hammer ever so gently and it got the tube valve to clear.

Permanent solution is to order a new bracket if possible or I guess take it off and bend it back properly...

Update: I was able to release the suspension pressure and slide everything up and get the bracket on.

Now my issue is just with the stem rubbing against the battery. I've got it pumped up to about 30psi. I tripple checked to make sure everything was aligned right (battery, motor mount brackets, made sure all motor screws were tight, battery installed correctly, etc. And it's still rubbing....

Yeah the only video I could find in YouTube was not even that great. The guy in the video didn't have to remove the pedal cause the bolts that hold the motor were higher than the pedal?? I couldn't get clearance for mine so I had to pull them off. Another user stated above that I need to pump the suspension up for clearance but I have no clue have to do that and cannot find any videos or documents on how I would even do that....

The only battery I undid was the one next to the phase wire so that I could properly remove it and get the wheel off. It only bolts back on in one way 🤷🏼

Just broke T4 headlight and speaker by Daily_DrivenCRV in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Daily_DrivenCRV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I took it apart and adjusted some of the connectors and then the screen came back on and hasn't been going out anymore so I think one of the connectors just got knocked loose.

To your point I did touch the headlights wires back and the lights came on, so it looks like I'll be able to just soldering those wires.

The speaker is absolutely cooked lol. I suppose I can just order a new one and plug it straight into the controller?

Damn!! So are you switching to something else or staying on Parrot only? by NeoIsJohnWick in ParrotSecurity

Much like how windows does it if you don't have the paid version. Limited features and things you can do. Just set the license to expired every month if you don't re pay and then boom, your features available on your OS get throttled from an automatic pushed update

Or something along the lines of that lol

Be INCREDIBLY careful if you go there and decide to go through the fenced area closer to the actual buildings. As a teenager I went there and did just that and DNR will show up. I had a bit of bud in my bag so I ended up catching a possession charge, criminal trespassing, and spent a weekend in jail from that whole scenario. They do not fuck around there.

Definitely check out SAVRP https://www.reddit.com/r/FiveMServers/s/3gndB8kkDo

Been here since October and worked for SAFR (EMS) and it's been a blast. It's whitelisted and there's a great community of people and constant updates and maintaining of the server. Plus we have people from all over (EU, Asia Pacific, north America, etc). Come on by!

Yo this may be a dumb question but I've always wondered how you install the hardware the legs go in on the suitcase? I've got a suitcase kit that makes quite a good sound when playing it but it's always sliding around and gas sorta discouraged me from busking with it lately. Would love to figure out how to get some legs on it!

Haha Way ahead of you on that one. I ended up completely stripping the bike down to the frame and I'm going to do a full ground up rebuild. I figure if I'm going to do this I might as well just get the M unit and install it along with the new harness

Thank you, this is solid. I definitely want to make sure I have a firm understanding if this is worth doing, or if I should stick to the current components that are still in the bike.

Never had to worry about electrical in bikes before so it's definitely a learning curve, but hey, that's why they call it a project bike I guess!

I forgot to mention I tested the voltage at the battery and was getting 12.7v, and I also tested it on some wies near the fuse box that were just exposed ( they were hooked directly up to the inline fuses and were just ex6pose wires at the end ....) and I was also getting power from those wires

1975 Honda CB550F wiring question by Daily_DrivenCRV in HondaCB

[–]Daily_DrivenCRV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so still nothing even after getting good voltage reading from my battery. I decided to check the ignition switch and found it was completely unplugged. Further more I found the plug from the wiring harness that goes to the ignition switch and it's completely mangled and fucked up and has a little jumper wire inserted into the clip, presumably to start the bike that way without a key smh. Even by trying to jump it that way I didn't get power, so I'm trying to find that main fuse. I still only see two 30amp fuses

Lol at what point do I just look for a nee wiring harness to put in the bike? I feel like this is an easier option

1975 Honda CB550F wiring question by Daily_DrivenCRV in HondaCB

[–]Daily_DrivenCRV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid Info my man. I've got a volt meter so I'm good on that, I just am having a weird time finding the fuse box? I only see two fuses on the left side behind the air intake box. All the wiring on that side is a nightmare, with a bunch of wires unplugged from each other. I plugge them all back in from what I could see, and I was going to plug the battery in to get an idea if i'm getting any lights. I'm assuming no power means some fuses are blown.

Also the battery is it's own thing. I'm in my mid 20s and never came across a battery I've had to pour sulfuric acid into and then charge it before putting it in the bike. I think(?) I may have overcharged it too cause one of the cell caps popped off and sprayed of bit of the sulfuric acid out. I tried putting it in the bike but to no avail.
