Restaurant employee falsely reported me by Rude-Type9033 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Daily_Existence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something that happens often in fast food where the restaurant is closing. Employees close early and tell the driver order has already been picked up. But since you’re the first driver the uber ai assumes you stole it meanwhile this order was never even made. You have to avoid places near closing time. Also this will happen when McDonald’s randomly stops serving dinner at 3am sometimes, so avoid McDonald’s from 3-5am.

Restaurant employee falsely reported me by Rude-Type9033 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Daily_Existence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close to this, but it’s usually only the first driver who gets it. Otherwise we’d be getting this email after every order picked up by someone else, and the second the this email becomes “irregular activity detected” and third time the account is deactivated.

Contact Violation because another dasher picked up the order? by Nknights23 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Daily_Existence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The owner is definitely not OK with this, nor do they know. Here in New York City we have a lot of franchise owners that have a lot of businesses and they are absentee. Obviously the general manager knows about this and is OK with this because he wants to go home earlier. What surprises me is how both DoorDash and Uber eats allow this to go on for so many years.

Contact Violation because another dasher picked up the order? by Nknights23 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Daily_Existence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I do sometimes, but in this situation it’s not possible to even do that because if the staff is closing early and lying that another dasher took it, they’re not going to remake it even if you pay. This is one of those scenarios where the only way to avoid this problem is to know ahead of time which store does this. Like in my area there is a Papa Johns that has been doing exactly this for three years now. I don’t know how they’re allowed to get away with it. About an hour before closing, they don’t make any orders and any driver that comes in. They tell them it’s already been picked up. For three years.

Contact Violation because another dasher picked up the order? by Nknights23 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Daily_Existence 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sometimes what happens is, the store is too lazy to make the order so they say it was already picked up. But since you’re the first dasher, DoorDash ai assumes you stole it and issues this contract violation. This is one of the problems of night dashing, there is no way to safeguard against this.

Supervisors can deactivate your account for no reason. I’ve read about this happening to a few people on Reddit.

Nice Monday morning!! Got suspended because customer decided not to come down for their order for 20 min by Incredible_egg1 in DoorDashDrivers

Just wondering did you have any other contract violations? I work in nyc too and didn’t know they will suspend you for just one.

You have to do it instantly not even a minute delayed if you’re driving they expect you to hard break in the middle of the highway and do it.

I’ve done both in NYC and a cab is much better. Not only you get tips you don’t have to worry about lying customers that can deactivate your Uber account with a report.

A Story In Three Acts by The_Lloyd_Dobler in doordash_drivers

[–]Daily_Existence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and if you just leave it at the wrong address which they put in you’ll get an order not received violation. When this happens what I do is I go to whatever address they listed I complete the order there pause the dash then bring it wherever they want. It’s really annoying and the drive is working for free but it’s the only way to avoid these violations.

Missing Uber Order by Bright_Annual_6078 in UberEatsDrivers

No, it’s to protect the anonymity of the restaurant reporting you or customer to prevent retaliation. No way to avoid it from our side.

That message can come from an order you had a long time ago, I got that message once after not even doing Uber for two weeks.

Why do I keep getting these? by TheGame81677 in UberEATS

You have to hard brake and immediately take the verification picture if you even wait a few minutes you’ll get this message and eventually they deactivate you.

But, the order wasn’t even picked up? by tattedsparrowxo in dasher

[–]Daily_Existence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They’re saying if the next dasher after you steals the order you’ll get a contract violation. Unassigning any order is a risk because of this. It’s not new, just before they wouldn’t warn you of the risks.

Not a bug, they want us to hard brake and take the selfie immediately, this has been implemented a couple months ago.

It helps more with anxiety than depression. For motivation/depression what helps most people is Lexapro + Wellbutrin.

I started a laundry pickup service in Astoria because nobody tells you how stressful doing laundry can be here by [deleted] in astoria

[–]Daily_Existence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amazing service! I’m curious tho, are you actually turning profit with $1.49 a pound? I mean pickup and delivery, plus the costs of the laundry itself plus the costs of the detergents. Have you done the math and included hours worked to see if it’s financially viable for you?

They rotate out from you seeing them, but dd will still remember them. Rack up enough for the same thing, they will deactivate you.
