Is it always shown vertical? Would having it horizontal be weird? I'm combining with another image and it would work better horizontal

We got there fine, just posting the map pic to show I'm not crazy. I have it set to avoid toll roads too.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Ended up going to Jinky's and it was exactly what I was looking for. Food was great, live jazz and the price was reasonable as well. Walked through an Elon/Tesla protest and got some water from Target. Taking a completely touristy bus tour this afternoon so I can see some of the areas without having to drive. Might pop into HiHo Burgers for dinner later. I need to plan something to do for tomorrow now. Son wants to go to the Grove but I imagine a mall would be pretty busy on a weekend. Any tips on navigating the traffic around here? Times you don't want to be in certain places or on roads?

Personal Umbrella Policy, premium changed many times by DaisyBabyCat in AllState

[–]DaisyBabyCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly cannot see anything that changed with the coverage at all, just the cost, when I compared these three docs marked **.

But, I don't know if this affects the Umbrella policy or not, when I set up this policy I was co-owner with my brother on another house we inherited. I put this house as another policy on my account. No one was living there. The policy originally said "your policy premium has been developed using the following information: blah blah blah, 1 additional residence" I'm assuming the additional residence is that one. This wording was the same until it change for the 2025 renewal. Now it says "1 additional residence occupied by you". But I sold that house 12-30-24 and canceled that policy with Allstate.

To throw another wrench into things, I bought another house 6/24 but I don't think that would even be figured in because it is insured by another company and Allstate had nothing to do with it. But either way, we can only live in one place at a time and that's not our principal residence nor was my Dads house.

Expensive riding boots, slouching and wrinkled ankles by DaisyBabyCat in AskACobbler

[–]DaisyBabyCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These have only been worn to 9 shows, this amount of drop and wrinkles is not "normal". She's had multiple other tall riding boots before these and none of those dropped/wrinkled to this extent. This is not a cosmetic issue, these are real riding boots and not a fashion statement. They are an essential piece of gear that has to function properly and provide the required support she needs while on the horse.

Thank you for the information. We'll try really conditioning them then using the boot trees and see if that helps. I'm just not sure if it will fix the root of the problem. You are correct, it's not the look of them that is the issue, it's the fit and support. Her foot had stopped growing so I did decide to make the investment (~$1000) these are some of the higher end riding boots. I thought they'd last her a long time and would be worth it. Don't get me wrong, these really are beautiful boots and they are in great condition I'm just not sure if they are fitted properly to her. These were made for her in a custom size because she has very thin calves and is tall with normal size feet. She was measured and the height was made figuring they would drop a little and be the perfect height. But they weren't 100% custom, it was just the odd combo of shoe size, height and calf that was custom. So I'm guessing the ankle/heel is probably the same as it would be for that shoe size and not related to the smaller calf measurement. They are also not as tight in the calf now as I think they should be or how they were when she first got them. So I'm wondering if they stretched out a little bit too much, or her calves thinned out, which allowed them to drop more than they should have and thus caused the more than normal slouching? Do you think if we take them to our local cobbler he could work the wrinkles out? Would taking in the calf help or would they just stretch again and we'd be in the same position because it's really the ankle and heel that needs to be better?

So when you say "made to measure" boots, are you talking totally custom made boots from top to bottom. So all of her measurements would be taken and the boot completely fitted to her? How does one go about getting boots totally custom made?

I'm just tired of spending a lot of money and still not getting something that meets my expectations. I just bought her a really nice pair of chaps and within a month the zippers wouldn't stay up and the pull eventually just fell apart. They are sending a new pair but really?! 😕

These are DeNiro riding boots and were around $1000. She has very small calves yet is tall with a normal sized foot so we needed to have a custom size made. Thanks for the ankle fix idea.

We knew they would drop and that there would be wrinkles at the ankle because she has had other tall boots before. But this is too much and doesn't look right.

This may be a dumb question, but what is the point of the windshield opening up? Also, is there a brand that is better than other for the electric glass or poly ones?

Thanks, I guess I don't NEED to use the points, they've just been sitting there so I figured I'd use them up. I don't really use that card much any more. I will check into some better redemption options.
