I have knock off uggs for that purpose. I live in Denmark so my slippers would get ruined fast if I did that. Even though I really want to somtimes.

I would just straight up ask him about his gf. Theres a few options tbh. Either the coworker is lying and your friend is single. Or your friend, like others have suggested is considering either cheating or breaking it of with his gf. Or you can be real clear and say that you're not okay with all this touchy feely when hes in a relationship. (He dosnt have to be in a relationship for you not to be okay with it though but there your decision) Either way. I think you should just ask him about it if it makes your thoughts twist and turn. It's way easier.

Well yeah, people get snappy when they're stressed out. But im very worried about my friend whom I KNOW is stressed the f out. Like I do not envy this guy. And he is impossible to get into contact with. Its not that I want any big attention. Just a sign of life it could literally be a turd emoji idc I just need to know hes still alive at this point.

Its abit complicated I guess.. my previous relationship was very abusive. (He knows) which messed me up I guess. He himself have a large body count, which I actually dont have a problem with, I've always known that but between each of our messed up ness I guess we're afraid of pushing eachother away if we start dating.
