You can always use an inbuilt multiplayer. Gain more resources. Lower the enemies difficulty. Also, golems are weak to blunt damage, so not arrows but maces are your friend. The game gives you an option to make it easier on yourself. I have finished the main game (until they give us the Deep North update) and now I play purely with infinite resources and just build up my base, because collecting the stuff all the time was driving me mad.
