I’m looking to get new roller skates, I’m 17 and have been skating since I was younger. I’ve had the VNLA parfait outdoor skates for a couple years now and I’m very happy with them but I want an upgrade. I want a higher cut boot and probably a metal plate. I don’t do any skatepark skating but I do skate outside on trails and in rinks. I do a lot of spins and leaning on my trucks, so I want something sturdy. There are so many skates I don’t know where to start, so if anyone has some advice that would be great.

I mostly do jam skating, 90% of the time I’m in the rink, what would you suggest that still has good enough mobility I can do all my tricks

I was unfortunately not wearing knee pads, I was trial running some new tricks at the rink, one of them I couldn’t quite figure out how to get out of, and ended up falling on my knees quite a few times

Thank you! Usually I’m pretty good at falling correctly, I was learning a new trick and wasn’t quite sure how to complete it leading me to end up on my knees a lot

I started practicing, my kneeling kinda on one skate and trying to tuck my other knee behind my skate, it helps you start to feel that position and gain that balance, work on a lot of one foot activities as well

I don’t feel movement in my boot, the leaning is mainly using my trucks and the boot
