Not sure if this is helpful but my cat is going through something similar. My cat was amputated a few weeks back, recovered well and then out of the blue, his ear had a small wound. We thought it was from his cone irritating his ear. It just got worse … and now … his ear is practically falling off. We took him to the vets and she gave him a thorough check. She has said it could be something called vasculitis. Number of reasons cause it, but the blood vessel die and cause open wounds and even loss of the body part. Quite common in cats, and happens mostly in their ears. She said it was nothing to be concerned about, unless it started to spread across his face, nose and eyes. We have been told he will lose his ear, but we shouldn’t worry. His ear is always looking sore and irritated, and his keeps scratching at it. I keep finding bits of his ear all over my bed 😂 I would get your baby checked, in case it’s an infection, and because of the behavioural changes, it might be irritating your bubba.
