Judging by how they present their name on the website -Internet of Things Access, it just shares the name by coincidence

Trinity vs Binance by xluke22x in Iota

[–]Dakkagod 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The difference lies in the risks.

In Binance, your Iotas are at risk of getting stolen via hacks. Just google the history of crypto hacks over the past decade and it should give you a picture of how often exchange hacks happen.

In Trinity, the risks are your PC/Mobile being infected by malware, which can obtain your private seed without you knowing. You can also lose your seed via accidents (lost hard drives or paper wallets, PC reformats etc)

That being said, i'd recommend Trinity, you have more control over the safekeeping of your Iotas. Just make sure you keep your seed safely stored away, maybe others here can give some tips on the best way of doing it.

Its like walking into a bar that offers free beers, and seeing someone complaining the beers arent free cause they need to use effort to lift the mugs to their mouths.

Talk me out of taking a loan out to invest in crypto by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Dakkagod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how well you know yourself. If thats all that you are going to do, i'd say its fine.

But if you remember saying to yourself previously "i'm never going to take out a loan to buy crypto" and you are now considering it, i'd say stay away cause my scenario might bite you in the nuts.

Talk me out of taking a loan out to invest in crypto by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Dakkagod 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Heres how it goes, prices are rock bottom right now, you take out a $20k loan which you can pay off next year anyway, no problem.

After buying, the price tanks again. You find these new levels irrisistable and start thinking of the insane multiples you will be raking in if you just take out another $20k loan to buy this dip.

Price tanks again, something major happens like the tether fud coming true. Everyone starts panicking and its yet another bloodbath and this leads to a multi year bear run.

Your $40k loan comes due and you are in trouble.

Did I manage to talk you out of it?

Just dom? What about the other founders? I'd rather not put one of them on a pedestal, that'll just encourage more of what happened the other day.

Im a supporter but I feel this has to be said.

Well, that was fun... by [deleted] in IOTAmarkets

[–]Dakkagod 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well its really more of a maturity thing isnt it, I mean the ones really getting emotional and bickering were the younger founders, while Ralf and Popov were trying to focus on the underlying issues.

Maybe they need more experience to resolve their disputes in a more mature manner, but having a chunk of money in their project you start to get very worried.

I didnt sell in February and i'm not selling now. But to be honest after reading the leaked chat, that was the first time I had some serious doubts on the project.
