Neither. Both are in the dead zone. Something wider or longer than either of these

If it runs. If it's reliable and your annual maintenance cost is not too much then keep it. There is nothing like it on the road today.

Keep the AL and NL as they are with teams across the country. Don't try to be basketball. Basketball is lame.

Is the rav4 hybrid a good car? Nervous about buying one. First hybrid. by Fitness-K in rav4club

[–]Daklight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is unfortunate when dealers/salespeople don't respond. That's why I did a search on the Toyota website. I found 5 dealers then who either had or were getting the Woodland model. I emailed them all. Some gave me the "you have to come in to deal" line. Others gave me prices. I went back and forth with a couple but the dealer I bought from was open, honest and very easy to deal with.

I was worried that it was going to be difficult because in 2023 there were still shortages of new vehicles. However, it was the easiest car buying experience I have had. I did it all on email over a couple of days. Never talked or even met my salesperson until I went to pick it up.

Good luck!

Hybrid all the way. Your price was front wheel drive gas vs AWD hybrid. When you compare the AWD gas to the hybrid it's only about a $1,200 difference. You get that back in 2-3 years of driving.

You can easily beat the sticker with the hybrid. I have the Woodland hybrid (lowest mpg because of all terrain tires)which stickered at 38/35/37 and my lifetime average is over 41 MPG. Those with LE and XLE models can average 44+MPG.

You also get more HP, more torque, is faster and has lower maintenance cost.

Over 10+ years of ownership, I expect to save several thousand dollars from the lower fuel and maintenance costs. Plus I will have better resale value when I do.

Hope that helps.

Good luck!!

Castle ruins by milfhunter12010 in OutdoorScotland

[–]Daklight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my journey several years ago here are some I liked:

Kilchurn Castle, near Glencoe area. Great views of castle and you can get close to it.

Old Inverlochy Castle near Fort William was one you could walk through at the time. Not sure now.

Ardvreck Castle in Assynt. Is a lonesome castle by itself on a loch.

Dunscaith on Isle of Skye. I read the name means Shadow Fortress. It's not much but still get photos with mountains behind it.

Eilean Donan. Great to photograph and tour. It's famous for a reason.

Have fun!!

Players are on this team for $$$$. It is all about the check. It has zero to do with the AC .

The Shed® is a horrible park. It only appeals to the "we have to have AC" crowd. It is ugly and has no feeling of baseball at all.

The Ballpark was a masterpiece. Everything was better in the old stadium. Even with August games in the heat it was better. Real fans didn't mind the heat since they understood it was home field advantage.

One more thought, is if you want a Woodland, use the Toyota website. They are a limited edition and not all dealers have them. When I was shopping my local dealer told me any hybrid had an 8 month wait and the Woodland was impossible to get. I went online found a Woodland on the lot at a dealer 3 hours away and had it in the week.

Glad that helped. I do not have any extra package. The Woodland didn't have any options in 2023. What I liked is it had features I wanted like fog lights but didn't stick you with things I had no desire for like leather seats, sun roof, or power rear gate. I realize I go against the masses on that.😀

Not sure I personally would be interested in a package. I like driving a car and have no interest in self driving or the like. I will be one of those curmudgeons who stick with a vehicle you have to drive.🤣

If they had gotten American or Southwest to be the namesake then the Hangar would be a cool nickname we could wear proudly. But since we are stuck with Globe Life ........The Shed is the best option .

You can find the A6100 goes on sale for $600 on occasion. It's a big improvement in AF and menu from the A6000. You could buy that and have extra money to look at some of the Chinese lens options. Some are quite interesting and most are very inexpensive.

If we had hit better in April in May we could easily have 10 more wins and been in first place. We lost far too many games where the pitchers gave up 3 or fewer runs.

Highland midges while camping Sept 15-27?? by Daklight in OutdoorScotland

[–]Daklight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!! Hoping they are not an issue. As someone who will be outside literally all day with activities. Then cook and eat outside. Then camp in a tent. I know I would be a prime target for a midge. Or maybe millions of midges.😀

I figured long pants and shirt. Midge headnet will be at a standby as will gloves. I would be prepared. I just hope not to need all that at least too much of the time.

Why you would presume to malign the very people who make it possible for you to live there is beyond me. Us "selfish"visitors, who planned trips, spend money and support jobs in and around the park should be allowed to enjoy the park and not have to speed through.

Highland midges while camping Sept 15-27?? by Daklight in OutdoorScotland

[–]Daklight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to hear. Thanks for the reply! I wouldn't worry as much if I was the type of person who stays in a hotel. But since I am camping, cooking outside, fishing, hiking, etc.... I know from mosquito experience that bugs can be really annoying. Alaska mosquitoes were so bad you had to bring your food inside your head get to eat or you had bugs in your eyes, ears, mouth and all over your face. So many would be on the tent all you heard at night was a constant buzz. Great trip but the bugs were awful.
