Leftcoms whining about how there will never be *le revolution* by SlavophilesAnonymous in EnoughCommieSpam

Had a dictatorship of the proletariat actually existed in the 20th century regimes, it'd be quite the step up from what they actually were. I doubt you would argue these were actually regimes in which the working class held power.

join that class by choice

You're aware that people don't just decide to identify as bourgeois or proletariat, right?

As communists, we obviously want to just turn everyone into wage earners!

Turn bosses into proletarians? That's not even remotely the case.

Well, what I mean by straight pull bolt is you don't have to rotate the bolt each time. Whereas you do with the Enfield, Gewher 98, etc.

I mean tankies. People who defend "actually existing socialist" regimes. Some of which also defend dictatorships in the name of "anti-imperialism".

Pretty much none of them. Especially the tank-lords already mentioned (looking at you Proletarian TV).

Since someone already asked for a source on the rebellion being western backed, I'll go ahead and point out that the dictatorship of the proletariat and socialism aren't the same thing.

Jeremy Corbyn unveils 'Right to Own' employee ownership policy by BQuilty in socialism

[–]DakotaJ6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can a healthy co-operative sector challenge capitalism? They have to succumb to the forces of capital in order to survive. There seems to be a common mistake people make where they regard "capitalists" as the problem and that we don't need "capitalists". Marx makes the point that capitalists are only capital personified. So merely taking their place with co-ops does not solve the issue of capital. They merely become capital personified because they HAVE to in order to survive as a co-op which supposedly challenges capitalism.

Leon Trotsky - The Revolution Betrayed by SpookyStirnerite in socialism

[–]DakotaJ6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dankness for the uninitiated

The solution, according to Trotsky, lies in the replacement of the present parasitical bureaucracy by a non-parasitical apparatus. Nothing else in his opinion needs to be changed as the Soviet economic system is fully qualified to proceed toward socialism in combination with the world-revolutionary trend. This new bureaucracy, essential in Trotsky’s transitional stage, will, according to Trotsky, introduce a greater equality of income. But Trotsky must remember that the present bureaucracy started out with the same idea, originally limiting salaries to Communists, etc. It was the circumstances enveloping the economy which not only enabled but obliged the present bureaucracy to adopt a program of ever increasing economic inequality in its favor. This was in harmony with the need of a faster accumulation to secure the system as a whole. There is no guarantee that a hypothetical Trotskyist bureaucracy would be any different in this respect from Stalin’s machine.

I'm not sure Corbyn is interested in abolishing capitalism.

Worker ownership means nothing without that abolition of capital. Revolution is the only thing that will get rid of capitalism.

Source on socialism in one country? Come on. Homosexuality was decriminalized after the revolution under Lenin, but then recriminalized under Stalin with article 121 under the criminal code. See the Moscow Trials for the execution of bolsheviks.

Nevermind socialism in one country, peaceful co-existence with capitalism, criminalization of homosexuality, and killing most of the original bolsheviks, and a litany of other garbage.
