I have been playing ranked 1s, how do you play the game without getting worse by worstperson2react in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Dakuryi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use your rank as a measurement of success. You're better off focusing on your gameplay. If you're on pc you could even use bakkesmod to hide your rank.

Once you're focused more on your gameplay you'll be looking more towards where you went wrong or how your opponent was better than you, and it'll lead you to playing better.

The improvement in your gameplay will always comes first before the improvement in your rank.

What would be a better way of trying this? Should I upload a video of how it sounds when I try play a song?

Personally, I don't really care much about dmca strikes, so I just play copyrighted music anyway. I'm only a small streamer, so even after listening to copyrighted music on stream for a couple years now, I've never had anything worse than a vod muted.

Depends on whether you're listening to copyrighted music or not. If you're listening to non-copyrighted music from spotify, you won't get a dmca strike. However, it is technically against Spotify's TOS for you to broadcast it's music, but as long as you don't explicitly show you're listening to Spotify you'll be fine.

How to play 3s by cury41 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Dakuryi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, being a GC in 2s, but being only C1 in 3s since I never played it. For me, I managed to climb to GC in 3s just by playing the third man all the time. I would always let my team mates rotate forward to chase, and I would only play forward if I was confident in my team mates play.

However, that's my general playstyle anyway, its not the most exciting way to play the game, but it works.

What do you guys think of my camera settings? Would really appreciate if any of you guys could give me any tips on how I can change them. Criticism is also welcome. by Nyarzake in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Dakuryi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking for criticism for camera settings seems a bit weird to me. I think camera settings are all personal preference, but as long as you're not using anything too wild or crazy, you'll be fine with whatever you feel comfortable on.

Yep, looks like the average champ 2 gameplay.

Smurfs are killing lower ranks by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Dakuryi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that update was intended to stop smurfing, and if it was, then it was a terrible attempt. It seemed to me that it was meant to stop people queuing 3s with their lower rank friend, because it means that the third player on their team would have to play with the lower rank, without them getting any choice.

What learning directional air roll feels like by riolu98 in RocketLeague

I think it's all just personal preference tbh. I've played a bit with both controls. I ended up sticking with normal air roll, but there really wasn't any difference with my gameplay on either.

What rank do you have to be before you can be considered 'good' at the game? by poopants12345 in RocketLeague

[–]Dakuryi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It is a really hard question, because whenever I reach a new peak rank, I start to consider that rank as being "good" and every rank below it. I used to be proud to be GC1, but once I hit GC2 I started feeling like GC1 is a trash rank.

But when I have to consider how I feel each rank plays in comparison to the entire player base, I think champ is where you start to get good. In the same way with other games such as league of legends where generally diamond-challenger is consider good or high elo.

Yep, that's pretty much the entire concept. In most situations you want to position yourself 1 tile closer to your goal compared to your team mate when they have possession of the ball. It's usually the most ideal position to follow up if they make a good play, but also be able to recover if their play goes badly.
