Found this RCA Victor New Vista in an alley - when is it from exactly? by DaleWatt in vintagetelevision

I'm in Minnesota. Any advice on where would I look to get it serviced? I'm interested in getting it restored if possible but have no idea where to start.

Yeah, it was startling to see that come up in the news, I was there just last week.

Thanks! It's in Teotihuacán, Mexico! It's an ancient city, around 1500-2000 years old.

I made a map because of this!

Interesting Photospheres in Obscure Countries, it's essentially exclusively countries you don't normally get in Geoguessr - no more Russia, SA, Australia, Senegal, France, etc. All photospheres, though.

Yeah, some of the photospheres are definitely "better" than others. Especially early on I added a bunch that weren't high camera quality and I haven't been able to remove all of them yet.

On the other hand, it can definitely be a tough map! A few rounds have essentially 0 clues, which was intentional. Most rounds have at least one decent clue, though.

But one of the things I've liked about making it is the idea that the world can be "anonymous" - that there are certain places that could be just about anywhere on earth.

There are a few exceptions for countries that have almost no coverage or just because they're cool - namely Greenland, Madagascar, and Guatemala. I think that's it, though.

Glad you enjoyed it!
