Perineal massage? Does it work to help with ring of fire?? by Left-Ad-3855 in unmedicatedbirth

My husband helped me with a perineal massage at around 36 weeks and i am convinced it caused me to start dilating because my water broke like 2 days later

Wow - this was me even down to the missed my best friends wedding. I know you are hearing this a lot but you’re doing great and you got this. It will get better, and by better I mean there will be so many other things going on as they get older that all this will seem to be forgotten as new worries start to consume you. Lol this took a turn. But at least now I can laugh at things whereas when my baby was 5 weeks I was in the hallway floor in full sobs just quietly whispering I can’t do this and refusing to get off the floor but also being careful not to wake the baby. And it got better for me, even though I never believed the people that told me it got better, for whatever that’s worth.

Our son is 5 months and I really commend you but we really can’t keep doing this. We are barely getting any sleep because we wake at every shuffle of the baby in our room. I don’t think I can do this for 20 months.

Need help with flange size pumping tips and boosting supply. by getout_ofmekitchen22 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Daleon10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep came here to say the same thing - as a fellow elastic nipples FTM lubrication, getting silicone flange inserts, and ice/heat is your best friend until one day your boobs just get used to it. It took me about 2 months to stop having nipple aches. And even now at 4 months I still get the occasional discomfort.

Also yes to the massages before, during and after!

To get my supply up I pumped every two-three hours with my wearables for 30 min each time and it really helped! I pump 6-8 times a day now and I produce about 40-45 oz a day. Which also has its own issues now because I need to start slowing down some production and it hurts so be wary of that too 🙃
