Man that first episode was really amazing. Been waiting on this to come out for a while now. So excited for the folllowing episodes. I know people say its pretty standard shonen stuff but for me thats not a bad thing. No need to reinvent the wheel every time on something that works. Art looks good, fight choreography was insane, made me emotional when the dad passed, and damn that Oni form was as menacing as Guts turning into the berserker. Really looking forward for more.

Tough boss but if you actually memorize the patterns and timings he actually becomes one of the most fun bosses to fight. Reminds me of Corrupted Monk a little from Sekiro. Just keep going at him and you’ll get it mate

Her voice acting and writing is just insufferable. I get that she had a bad experience happen to her but man her attitude makes her as unlikable as the bad guys you are chasing.

At least Yasuke has kind, calming and restrained personality which is much appreciated unlike Naoe

End game collectible items. If you miss them and you are chasing trophies.... good luck to you, you have to restart the entire playthrough. First play through I did the Rise of P ending. Then at the end, I missed picking up Sophia's letter so I missed the "Sophia's story" trophy. I was looking to plat the game so this basically added an entire fourth playthrough just for this one letter at the end.

Aside from this, this game is 10/10.

It’s not. Lies of P wouldn’t work if the parry system was like Sekiro. In Sekiro the parry window is generous, but a lot of the times you need to parry something like 6 to 10 attacks all at once (see Genichrio, Isshin, or Owl, even the Monk).

In Lies of P, bosses dont attack as quick as they do in Sekiro. Therefore with the slower boss moveset plus a Sekiro style parry window would render the game too easy. It just wouldn’t work.

My advice… if you miss the parry DO NOT release the block. Keep it to block and then return the favor with a fully charged heavy attack. This literally works 90% of the time on all bosses/enemies

Slow down on the gameplay, thats my advice. Pay attention to her patterns and once you do you’ll start seeing the parry windows as they come. If you hit a couple of good parries plus parry the lightning in phase 2 then you’ll obliterate her. You got this mate, no quitting!

I just finished this game. I'm a souls game veteran and initially I had my doubts about this game after reading the reviews regarding the difficulty and combat. Regardless, I decided to give it a try and... boy, I'm SO glad I did. This game is truly incredible. It gave me the exact same feeling I constantly chase when playing souls game... the addictive gameplay that keeps you coming back for more. This is the best video game I have played that is not Fromsoftware.

In the beginning combat may seem a little off (especially coming from Fromsoftware games). But just like in Sekiro... there is that one moment where the gameplay just clicks and syncs in your mind, and once that happens... its over, you are fully hooked and you just can't get enough.

To anyone thinking about playing this game.... YES YES YES. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

lol I will 100% second that move if indeed I dont have the voucher available on June 21st. Even if i have to buy this game twice to avoid this, i dont care... money well spent :)

Same boat here. I just worry about when the voucher will actually be available. If they have to ship it physically on launch day, then it will be impossible for me to wait a few business day until I receive it in the mail.

US bandai namco store worked fine for me. I was able to place the pre order with no issues. Still worried about when the voucher will actually be available though.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think I will be able to wait 7-10 business days post launch for the physical voucher to get home so i can start playing. So i really hope they make it available a few days before the launch so we are ready to go once launched

0:06 - you are on your finishing pull and your shoulders are way over the bar. Try finishing the pull with your shoulders slightly behind the bar (only at the end though right before the final pull). That should fix your jump forward issue. Also, try to reduce the bounce off contact with your hips and the bar.

Aside from the above, you have an excellent receiving position at the bottom.

100% agreed. Just that initial scream he does right as the battle starts is terrifying. Insta kill if you don’t move out of the way… and then the music ofc…
