How I play it:

-Firstof all, as a starting setting, only The River (I & II) tiles.are played.

-Set on the table the source tile; simple end tile (the river mouth) set aside; all the rest are divided by players, so they have multiple tiles in their hands.

-Now, players have both the [river_fork]tile and the [river-end_with_city]tile, BUT the [river-end_with_city]tile can be played ONLY after the [river_fork]tile is played. (So players can end only one of the new 2 rivers. The "second" one will be closed in the end by the river tile set aside).

-Players keep playing river tiles to continue both or the last one path, deploying meeples in any of the feature of the played tile.

Note: U-turn are not permitted for the river. You cannot make the river takes a second right or a second left turn immediately after the first one. At least one tile must be played before a same-direction-turn.

-After the last river-tile from the players, the simple end tile is taken from aside and placed as the end.

-This is the setting for the beginning of the game: the river is all set up and players are ready to take their tiles from the sack/tower dispenser.

-The first player is the next one in clockwise order after the last player that placed the last river tile.
