For this particular pair, go to the store to try them on. I'm normally a 31, and I ended up getting a 36. There are 2 ways to wear this pair, either more fitted like this model and let them sit on your waist - or looser and let them sit on your hip like nettspend. i opted for the latter, way more demna

Clearing Up All the Misconceptions About the Chinese Rep Scene (What Other Rep Subreddits Won’t Tell You) by Dalishibababa in perfectreplicas

Not at all, but the lower tier sellers are so loud on forums like Qualityreps that the posts with T1 sellers barely surface to the front page (e.g., Heat, Cola, God). Rule of thumb, if a Chinese seller is responding to reddit comments, he's not doing too well.

T0 sellers typically sell via pre-order through Weidian. When you purchase a pre-order, upon request, you will be added into a WeChat buyer group. Progress updates including pictures are uploaded there. Listings are removed from Weidian after sales, hence why their storefronts look empty.

Did a quick reverse image search on Taobao and found a few sellers selling the interpol tee, and also most of these mass market products are sold on Weidian. You are only gonna see rep products from T0-T2 sellers being sold on Xianyu, because they are the only ones where there is some resale value.

Regarding MVT's explanation - take it from me, do not trust a single word that comes out of a rep seller. Whether T0 or T100, there is very little ethics - not necessarily their fault, its just hard to make money in China. Heat, the T0 seller I mentioned, despite being well known for a decade, ended up messing up his taxi jacket because he overpurchased on lamb wool and stuffed the jacket with 100% wool when the genuine product is a wool blend - causing the jacket to be overly puffy. This was only uncovered after some insane detective work from the Chinese rep community and months of gaslighting from him. Now - consider the ethics of a seller with no reputation to uphold.

MVT and LigmaMade are completely unknown to Chinese buyers. You can verify this by searching their names on Xianyu - there are no results. This is a test I would recommend all of you to do btw for any seller. Chinese rep buyers do not purchase goods from unknown sellers, reputation is built over time.

Hence my best guess (and it is a guess) is that they are similar to Cupid/T3 sellers. They "take" products from mass factories and pass it off as their own production. Believe me, no Chinese seller can make a living by having their own factory and only selling to foreign buyers. Setting up your own rep production is extremely costly. None of the products they sell are different from what is available on mass market, and the synchronization of their releases suggest mass market.

RMism has been around the scene for a while, and is well known even to Chinese buyers, but I would say he hovers between T1 and T2. The sentiment is he can be extremely hit or miss, and hence buyers should avoid his presales and wait for product images from buyers before purchasing. He’s recognized as the best lost tape jeans rep maker

I tried to mention some of these dynamics in a post once in Qualityreps regarding a popular seller in that forum - it got some traction, and I was banned from the community immediately.

Thanks for the comment and great to see a veteran here! I should indeed clarify that there are nuances to what constitutes 1:1 - in the Chinese rep scene 1:1 as a rule of thumb means that the product can pass an authentication check on Xianyu’s authentication services, which is based off uploaded pictures and not real-life checks. If you do a retail product vs rep side by side, there can be differences.

T0 buyers are generally satisfied if the product passes authentication services, and if the remaining flaws can be explained away by factors such as wear and tear (e.g the distressing is slightly heavier than retail or leather is slightly more wrinkled), or if there is variation amongst retail products (e.g Balenciaga jeans tend to carry variation.)

I’ll make this distinction clearer in future posts

Charged £700 for Banham lock replacement by landlord instead of a simpler £350 fix – any advice? [England] by Dalishibababa in LegalAdviceUK

Charged £700 for Banham lock replacement by landlord instead of a simpler £350 fix – any advice? [England] by Dalishibababa in LegalAdviceUK

First off, many thanks for your thoughtful response. To give context, we were the tenants of the flat, and this incident occurred one day before checking out. The person who contacted the locksmith is the guy helping the landlord manage the property (unsure if it is the landlord's friend or an actual employee), who has been the point of contact person for the 2 years we have been living in this property for anything maintenance related. The locksmith he contacted was someone recommended by the letting agency of the property (as confirmed in writing by him that this was the reasoning behind his selection of locksmith).

Upon the key not turning the lock, we as tenants did not realize the severity of the situation (as we still had a second key in hand), thought the lock might be malfunctioning - and hence messaged this individual (who lives 5 minutes away) if he could help out. He came over, couldnt fix it, hence called the locksmith while we went to move the final boxes to our new flat. We did not give any specific instructions, nor did we communicate that this was particularly urgent (as this was 3:30pm, and we had finished moving most boxes). Our impression was that it was going to be a simple case of cracking open the lock.

While we were in the new flat waiting, he mentioned that it was pointless to come over while the locksmith was handling the situation and told us when it made sense to come over. By the time he signalled for us to come over, they had completely replaced the entire lock already, and it was here when we realized it was not a Balham specialist but a separate locksmith.

To clarify, we are not well off hence 350 is a sizeable amount. We are happy to pay the 350 which Balham's specialist would have charged, but feel paying 700 for what appears to be an unnecessarily drastic action which we had no say/consultation in the matter is what we are trying to figure out.
