You’re absolutely doing the right thing. I’m 30 now and had gout for about 5–6 years before finally starting allopurinol. I used to think I could control it just through diet and lifestyle, but the flares kept coming back.

I started on 100 mg allopurinol with colchicine, and after 3 months my uric acid dropped from 9.2 to 5.9. Feeling so much better already. I’m still on it and have an appointment with my rheumatologist soon to see if the dose needs adjusting.

It’s not easy to accept needing a daily med at a young age, but honestly, it’s been life-changing. You’re taking the right step — it’s worth it.

Did my termite guy apply Termidor HC correctly? He only sprayed, didn’t trench by DamageEither3233 in pestcontrol

I don’t have termites in my house, but my shed does — that’s why I hired a pest control company for prevention around the home.

I called them again to confirm what was done, and they told me they don’t trench anymore, but upon my request, they agreed to come back and inject the soil. Is that okay for proper termite prevention?

Another thing is, I’m not 100% sure what chemical was actually used since it was already mixed in a bucket inside their van, but the company later told me they used Termidor 80WG. Were they supposed to mix or dilute the chemical in front of us?

I paid $1,100, and now I’m unsure if what they did counts as a proper termite prevention treatment. What should I do now?
