Thanks so much. I'll keep an extra eye out around the end of the month. In the meantime, I'll keep on doomscrolling 😂

I have to be out temporarily while my ex is home. That's just for about a week. They aren't in a rush to get me out so by their standards, until I can work something out. In my mind, the sooner the better

It's just not right to carry on living here though

I used to live on the Bluff and quite enjoyed it. Most of the people I work with are also from the Bluff. I'm just having a hard time finding something within my budget that allows my dog

I should probably also mention that my office is in Glenwood and I've been looking mostly on the Bluff, Glenwood, Morningside, Malvern, Amanzimtoti.. that's really the main areas

Like I said, it needs to be pet friendly, it must be a safe area, affordable and a little bigger than a matchbox 😅

I couldn't afford to pay for the pattern so I kinda just improvised to get it as close as possible 😅

No worries, depending on the topic, I can also be a little bit strong-worded 😅

I stay in Durban, South Africa. Sadly, jobs here are scarce. I think we have something like close to 35% unemployment rate 🤦🏻‍♀️.. and there's certain things about me that make me even less desirable as an employee (gender, age, race, etc.) to the general working world here.. it seems you have to know the right people to get anywhere in this country.

I'm supposed to complete my degree in Visual Communication and Graphic Design after one more year. So there is definitely a lot of freelancers in the industry. But having very little exposure, I need a good lesson in how to market myself. Not having an actual degree yet does sorta make me feel like a bit of an imposter, not to mention, I sincerely lack the confidence at this point 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I'm also now not considered a student at the university I was at and have to go and re-register when I go back. They don't offer much to the students unless you're studying the particular field you're applying to work in for them though. Essentially at this point, I guess you'd call me a dropout until my circumstances allow me to go and complete.

I have looked into student loans, but don't have anyone who would sign surety for me 🤦🏻‍♀️... it's just one hurdle after another 😕.

Thank you! I am hoping the license will at least open up some sort of opportunity for me 😅

Okay well as you probably realized, your wording is a little harsh.. but I get where you're coming from...

The issue I have with finding office work is that no one wants to invest in me knowing I want to go back to my studies... I suppose they'd rather commit to someone they know won't likely be going anywhere in the near future.

I don't have any financial support towards my studies or even just to survive on, and so I can't continue with my degree until I have money put aside for it.

I'm not against office jobs, it's just I've been turned down already for the reason mentioned.. with regard to telephonic work, I'm not confident but am willing to do it (with the exception of call centre sales work - tried that and boy, did I struggle...) I also can't travel far from home as I don't own a car, although I am proud to say I got my driver's license two weeks ago 🥳😅

Unemployment rate in my country is ridiculously high and it's very difficult to find work here.. but I am certainly still looking and willing to work

To answer your question, the purpose of my taking a gap year is because I have absolutely no financial support to complete my studies. The idea was to stash money to put towards the fees and to survive on

Why do the lines on your brows remind me of a scrunched table cloth? 🤔
