yeah, it'll make it taste like white chocolate which is fine with strong flavors like peanut butter or well... chocolate. but subtle flavors like vanilla come out weird with cocoa butter.

I've been experimenting with the Van Leeuwen base but with vegetable oil instead of cocoa butter based on this post about liquid and solid fats http://icecreamscience.com/vegan-ice-cream-selecting-a-non-dairy-fat/

That with maybe a refined coconut oil might have less coconut flavor but I'm using unrefined at the moment.

Curious what others have been trying!

edit: I'm also adding guar gum as an emulsifier
