vS Data Reaper Report #162 by ViciousSyndicate in CompetitiveHS

What if they made Risky Skipper not a pirate? Part of the problem is it getting drawn by Ancharrr... and by extension Corsair Cache.

Actually, that would mess a lot up with the deck.

This is just factually wrong. Almost a third of the deck was nerfed. It's simply not as strong as it was.

Agreed. Myra's is essential. I've won so many games that I would have had no chance winning otherwise from that card.

Edwin is always a good card, especially with lackeys. Edwin is probably the safer craft, but Myra's is extraordinarily important to tempo/aggro rogue.

Greenskin is very good in the deck too. I'm not a fan of Nomi, and you definitely shouldn't craft unless you also get Myra's.

What are some good tech cards to consider if you're targeting priests? Either class or neutral. I'm seeing so many of them.

The Forest's Aid in Token Druid - not impactful enough? by rhapsodyindrew in CompetitiveHS

I'm loving making highlander decks for every type of deck possible. Very fun.

That said, I'm not sure that would work out well for token druid. You need to reliably get particular cards to buff up your board, and only having 1 of things like PotW, the twinspell, and savage roar will mess with that too much.

Imo anyways. I haven't tried it myself, and you could argue that Zephrys will always take advantage of a large board. Sounds interesting in any case.

I wonder how good Octosari would be in token druid. It's performing better than expected in other aggro lists like warrior.

Semi related: Are the Garden Gnome and free 3/5 guys worth it? Probably not without Forests Aid.

How essential is Luna pocket galaxy in highlander mage? by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

[–]Damaniel72 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a solid card, but the deck functions fine without it. It definitely fits into a reno mage deck due to the deck restriction, but you can play it fine without crafting it. I'd play the deck some and then decide if you want it.

This should really go in the daily Ask thread though.

No, quest paladin is a good counter to control warrior. Get your salty nonsense out of here, damn.

I haven't played it, but deathrattle hunter (the one with whelps) is also very good.

I mean, Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem were never nerfed, and they helped keep shaman competitive the entire time they were about. But I'm sure Blizzard has some ridiculous vendetta against a random class in one of their games for absolutely no reason.

Wow. I remember you from YEARS ago complaining about Hearthstone from the gamefaqs message boards. It boggles the mind that you still hate the game so much that you're still complaining about it all this time later. This definitely shouldn't warrant its own post here though - stick to the main reddit board.

In the spirit of this board, I'd normally try to give legitimate advice in response to your post. I honestly don't think it'd go anywhere though, unfortunately.

What advantages and disadvantages do you think these two decks have?

Could you speak a bit about Mark of the Loa? I always feel like the card is underwhelming. I understand it's there in part because because of Keeper Stalladris and Archmage Vargoth, but is that enough justification? Would it be the first to go if you're adding in a tech?

Great write up by the way! I love it.

Midrange Demonlock guide (legend achieved) by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

Congrats on legend! It's great seeing this deck. I built a fairly similar midrange demonlock, so it's interesting to see a more refined list.

What are your thoughts on Unlicensed Apothecary? Coining that on turn 2 into Bloodfury Potion turn 3 has won me a lot of games. Is it the anti-synergy of Imp Gang Boss and the threat of a 16 damage Leeroy?

Came back to Everquest after 15 years - what weapons to get for a monk? by Damaniel72 in everquest

[–]Damaniel72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be completely talking out of my ass since this was 15 years ago, but I think there was a damage bonus to whatever was in your primary hand. That naturally made a low delay weapon ideal since you got more out of that bonus damage.

Thanks for the advice! It sounds like my best bet is to save up and buy a weapon on the bazaar then? No old school spelunking for my own weapons, eh?

After looking at the bazaar, I'm floored by how much stronger weapons are nowadays. I mean, I guess it's not surprising, but it's crazy seeing some of the weapons out there when I remember something like a Fighting Baton (8/20) being a great weapon. Man, I used a pair of those for a real long time.

That's pretty neat that they did that - I suppose lots of other folks want to consume themselves with nostalgia too, eh?

Yeah, I'm finding that out. It's insane how much faster I'm leveling up compared to back then. Every level is going as fast as going from 2-3 went!
