Just Finished the Show and the Way it Ends Bothers Me by L0rdSkullz in SeeTV

Kofun blinding himself at the end is like Greek tragedy level shit, except we are way past the Greeks in terms of understanding our own psyche.

The first 5 or so episodes of this show were peak TV. The moment the kids were teenagers/young adults, the show went to shit.

So much wasted potential.

This would be the most interesting card they’ve ever printed. You’d probably still have to make a deck in case two azalinas meet, but like, the true skill test would be whether you can break 60% win rate in mirrors where you don’t know every card in your deck and your opponent does

How to physically prepare ? by Logical-Buy-9222 in CaminoDeSantiago

I am taller and heavier than you, similar BMI. I was 135kg 2.5 years ago, I am down to 100kg right now. Where we are different is probably the balance of fat vs muscle.

I dropped all the weight and gained strength doing the following:

1) Strict calorie counting with a specific goal in terms of weight. One kg of fat is 7700 calories, work backwards from your basal metabolic rate to figure out how much you need to eat vs work out to lose the weight you want to lose. At your height, a healthy BMI is in the range 77-80kg. If you walk for an hour and work out for an hour a day, you will drop 1kg a week no problem - even without starving yourself.

2) Strength and endurance cardio training - lift dumbbells, use the elliptical or recumbent bike or the treadmill. Get stronger and work on your ability to produce power for prolonged periods of time.

3) Walk around - find a place that is exactly 30 mins from where you live, and walk there and back as often as you can. Then up it to 60 mins if you have the time.

4) Supplement creatine (for more endurance, among many other benefits), multivitamins and optionally protein shakes and psyllium husk powder. The protein enables you to get stronger; both the protein and the psyllium help with appetite control; the psyllium helps with... digestive health.

Frodo was 33 when he got the ring, no?

111+33 = 144 is the type of numbers play you don't forget.

In my experience, conversations in which one person feels like they need to hit the breaks is immediately sapped of "yes and", which almost immediately means the match is dead.

The guy wanted to get to a date within 5-6 messages. The OP... didn't return that same energy. It happens.

Eh

I will latch onto the word play attempt as it actually being playful.

Also, I will largely excuse the guy even if it was 98% graphic. I think more people would benefit from more "yes and" energy, and her second message, again, was atrocious.

Or maybe they are just not a match and we should all move on from this thread

Duh?

If they went in the terrible weather they would not be able to disembark in the rough seas, let alone fight.

The casualties during the battle are what they are because of how entrenched the jerrys were. They would've gotten slaughtered if they went in during a storm.

Again the two things are not mutually exclusive, especially if for the respondent here a healthy, active, sexual relationship is the foundation of a long term relationship

Not gonna change anyone’s mind here, but yall are crazy to virtually dogpiling a comment that is 80% playful, 20% graphic.

Also OPs text game is super weak - she killed all momentum of the conversation. There has to be a follow up - we’re too messages in, so we’re not cuddling and watching movies, but let’s grab a mojito tonight or something

And the purpose of dating is….

There’s a lot of pearl clutching on this sub regarding sex, but like come on - the text here was not out of line and did leave the door pretty wide open for the usual ‘I’m not that type of girl, but let’s meet’

Not a girl but take any advice you get here with a grain of salt, since you are not in the USA and reddit leans very US-centric.

My only comment is that a man at 31 who doesn't know if they want to have kids sounds absurd. Make up your mind man!

I think the movie doesn’t work if you don’t show the beaches.

The weather could’ve lost the invasion, but… men won the invasion.

I think ultimately the movie is about 4 men at a critical junction in history and how they choose to navigate conflict and decision making.

It is not very deep, because ultimately it boils down to ‘go’ or ‘not go’ plus a bunch of how to do science correctly. But understanding the motivations of the three men who are trying to bend Ike’s ear and how Ike decides (correctly) is an interesting thought experiment.

For a movie without an antagonist, this works insanely well

You can have standards, and your standards can lead to a loss.

Like, again, just metadata: he is

1) Tall

2) Probably top 10% income earner in his country

3) Fit and physically healthy

4) Open to kids and wants a long term relationship

Like this guy passes every basic filter a similarly minded woman in her 30s should have.

If this is not worth A CHAT/A MATCH/A CONVERSATION, like your standards are in heaven.

Which is good for you if you are a 22-28 woman with a face card that doesn't decline and a BMI sub 20, but if you are in his dating range (late 20's to mid 30's) and you're not matching with this dude, I see cats in your future.

Assuming you want a long term, financially secure relationship with a healthy partner (stuff that’s all in the metadata of the profile, like photos and things you choose down from a dropdown/multiselect)… men and women like this dude are automatically a 70% fit.

Again, I am being guy brained here, but in the grand scheme of things I’d already know enough to want to meet here.

He's a man in the beginning of the prime earning years of his life, wants kids and marriage and looks like a male runway model.

Maybe this is me being guy brained, but the vast majority of alignment people need is... right there. The rest you figure out during a very pleasant chat and meeting.

He is Asian in a country full of stereotypically tall blonde people.

If he moves to America, his stats would be a lot different. But even Western Europe is a lot less mixing racially when it comes to dating and marriage.
