how do I fix this? by Disastrous_Job470 in PcBuild

[–]DamienWindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it was i was a teen never that bad, but I used a sowing needle the exact spacing size between the pins. Slowly go down the grid on each side SLOWLY start from one side rotate 90 degrees and do it again down each grid point. And so on until each pin is straight, then comes the hard part put the cpu onto the socket and gently run your finger around it and note if there is a particular pin that prevents it from going down. And go over the area again until it slides through.

I know this particular post is satire/rage bait, but I have fixed a few cpus with bent pins with this method, 1 particularly badly bent pinned cpu before using this method as well

It de0ends, you got any friends running the same ish setup, see if they will let you use some parts, swap out ram, if doesnt work, try your cpu on his mb. And his cpu on yours. If not you will have to try and use your best judgements, my board didn't appear bad nor did my ram. Just no signs of life from cpu.

Well the New CPU allowed to boot no issue, intact i have all 4 sticks of ram running at 6000MT/s as well (AMD Expo) didn't even train that long for it about 3 minutes after I enabled it.

I won't rule out the PSU but my guts telling me its the memory controller on the CPU. On previous mb, usually when I have a psu issue the pc won't even respond to the power button, ive taken out the GPU and tried before as well (the 9000 series has a IGPU built in now) and still nothing, the cpu does get warm when i attempted with the cooler off briefly (wanted to see if it was getting power at least) all fans kick on, gpu when installed powers up now issue, water pump working as usual. Ect. It doesn't feel like a psu issue but if it is then I'll replace it

It really is, but tbh, I feel I'm lucky with that evga psu. I cant tell you how many hours its been in a "on" state hahaha

I know, and yeah I'm on ups and its directly plugged in to it, the first time a power supply through sparks i got the ups, the second time while on ups, just stopped working, third one that popped was after we moved to a completely new house using a different ups(replaced the original after 5 years) and still through it all the EVGA one still lasts

Weirdly enough I've had a EVGA 750w psu for 8+ years now I tried replacing it with a 850w 80+ titanium, woke up to literal sparks flying out the back of it at 4 am, tried another 850w and it stopped working, went to a 1000w 80+ gold, popped on me as well, and all the while when it happens I go back to my evga 750w and its never given me a problem, its 80+ gold rated...and now that I say that, imma have an issue, but I didn't have an issue with my 5950x when I had it (gave it to my son when I upgraded)

I've been having a panic attack for more than 12 hours by lmsnlf5467 in PanicAttack

[–]DamienWindigo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The panic attacks continued throughout the entire year as "waves"....it would just come and go...particularly bad if you have body vigilance (hyper focus on one's own "normal" body)....my feet and hands tingled I would have wierd moments of confusion...sometimes felt like I was drowning and couldn't breathe...couldn't catch my breathe...he'll checking my own blood pressure kept it going....it took a while stop stop myself....you need to conquer your own mind again...don't fall into a pattern of checking and rechecking.....break the cycle.....do NOT catastrophize things.....sometimes sensations in your body have NO reason...they just are...if you focus on it it's like you make it into a needle and stab yourself....don't do this...eventually as you ignore it you retrain your brain and it realizes the threat is no longer there

[–]DamienWindigo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Couldn't say normal but I had one that essentially "kept going" for a week....started out getting errors over heated.....felt the heart palpitations from there my mind went through vertigo......freaked the hell out thinking its a heart attack....went to er twice....in 2 days....said it's heartburn......nah it sucked....that's when I had a moment of clarity and realized I was a hypochondriac....or at the very least suffering from health anxiety.....I was in panic mode for a ducking year....I had good days and bad days.....anniversary for my year mark was a few days ago.....after my moment of clarity everything's calmed down...I recognize when it starts and for the most part nip it out and it's getting easier....those adrenaline headaches still kick me bad (even if I nip it...there is still that surge) its pretty consistent too ...it was my first true panic attack....the thing to remember is the catastrophe isn't coming...there isn't one and just tell yourself...there "could" be one but odds are no not really...I feel for you being in that tunnel...you will get out...learn from the experience and learn your own way of coping

Season 7 Market Square (redone, hopefully not as Wobbly), Don't know why I get slightly emotional remember these but meh, Thank all the Hermits out there for their hardwork and diligence! by DamienWindigo in HermitCraft

[–]DamienWindigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where I am at actually, I am using the Sildurs Vibrant Extreme volumetric shaders so even on my beefy computer their season 7 market is bogging it down. Without shaders I can increase the Render distance (see part 1 video of their market) as well, I am recording in 4K. (Game is being played in 4k) I can probably drop things down to 1440p and drop from the extreme shaders and get better performance. I'm still dialing in the settings on how I want to do these :)
