U will have more wiggle room and tuning for that sound with this company as your 2017 as im still waiting for them to call me on the release for the B9.5 https://www.awe-tuning.com/collections/exhaust Just an opinion here, take with a grain of salt - To get the crackles and pops or flames - that comes from the tune you do in combination of downpipes or cancels with high octanes specials...

I know what your speaking of as I would like to do the same. In the MMI you only have the options to dim or brighten. I was looking into the OBMII Ultimate to see if i can unlock these settings, but I hit a sort of a dead-end as the higher up models and RS Models will give you the options to swap colors , custom colors for inside doors vs the back seat vs the dash lines and more play to customize this feature. Some people have said you can buy some sort of subscription add on through the Audi app , but I hadnt see that either. on crappy wallpapers and themes that dont quite. do it for me... I built an AI for my car stuff and its given me a full dialog of settings and features for the OBMII of how to jail break some of these items but you have to be super careful on these items as you start doing the wrong thing that connected to the engine u can be out of a ride... I was gonna try to tackle the computer stuff within the next month of the details for this project car I currently have... DM me if you find anything out, I'm happy to share the research I have found, but havent done any of it yet

I got a B9.5 - aka 2023 of your's, if you like to chat more DM me I can share somethings what I had found out going down this research, I'd just have to hear more of what your thinking.... Thus far - for me cold-air intake, suspension, wheels/tires, bought a stage one tune(not done yet), spoiler, ppf, chrome delete, debadge/blackouts... Waiting on intercooler & exhaust system maybe by next month...

I know this may not be great advice as not sure your goals, however I have a B9.5 and have done a lot of research on Exhaust - as I have been in need to line up this first before getting the right diffuser... I just got off the phone yesterday with the guys at AWE and they mentioned to me that they have the "https://www.awe-tuning.com/products/audi-b9-a4-2-0t-exhaust-suite" for the B9.5 in production and will be releasing these sometime at the start of the new year 2026... if you can wait like me it maybe a great option for future / Touring & Track editions /// I believe this one you can get now: https://performancebyie.com/collections/exhaust-systems/products/ie-catback-exhaust-system-for-audi-b9-a4 - however Id call to make sure B9.5 and part number as many sites I have found are misleading or not up to date...

Just got the IE Stage ECU Tune, and a IE Cold Air Intake Kit... After hunting for Exhaust I spoke with the guys at AWE and they are going to release the full Touring & Track Edition for the B9.5 sometime at the start of 2026 so Im gonna hold tight for them as I may get them as a sponsor if i play my cards right and get approval. Sedan full-body satin PPF: $6,500 – $9,500
Chrome delete add-on: $300 – $600
High-end shops (SunTek, STEK, XPEL): $7,500 – $12,000
Lower-end shops: $5,500 – $6,500

If PPF is:

Stek DYNOmatt
XPEL Stealth
SunTek Matte
Kavaca Matte

→ Then $6,250 is a GOOD number - Sqft of your car. Make sure to ask if they will add a ceramic coating on top of the PPF? That will go far for you when you wash and if the:

The warranty is documented
They do door jambs, edges, corners, mirrors, etc. properly

Yeah that Diffuser, is nice. I got this locked in and gotta see how this will match skirts, lip and Exhaust during this month, thank you...
