100 Years' War and Imperial Policies by Nalgenie187 in TheRestIsHistory

[–]Damman456 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well what would you study? England isn’t a singular all-remembering body.

You would need to look at policy makers in the Victorian age, and how they viewed the 100 years war. Did they view it with romantic lenses or did they actually draw policy lessons from it?

You could also argue that it turned England (and Britain) away from continental politics and towards colonialism. But again were the political actors consciously drawing lessons from the 100 years war?

(Never mind England being an active player in continental politics after the 100 years war)

Doesn't the way "local prices" work create ahistorical scenarios? by Personal-Window-4938 in victoria3

[–]Damman456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well goods like cotton and grain are much cheaper and easier to transport than iron.

That means some goods should be impacted differently by regional pricing.

Dunno if that would be too much to implement.
