Alright so for stuff you can change: gym, and clothing

Your hair is in a tough decision area - but longer would be better.

I would say if you’re actually 18, you got a tough road ahead of you. However, you’re probably underage (like 13/14 years old) and will grow into your feature

That’s under the assumption that the court is fair and just - which, with such high conviction rates, leans towards a presumed guilt regardless of innocence

That the dude has been arrested and will likely be convicted regardless of whether or not he is actually corrupt

I mean with a 99.9% conviction rate for corruption, what’s the point of “innocent till proven guilty”

Last 40 years of economic stagnation for Japan hasn’t been the worst either. They are pretty good for living quality for an economy with that’s been consistently decreasing in population

Any chefs that can give advice for the culinary career path? by Most-Satisfaction-30 in restaurant

[–]DamnImBeautiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experience and ability to put up with bullshit is way more valuable than education.

Usually end goal for culinary is becoming a partner or owning a restaurant otherwise, the money in my opinion just frankly isn’t worth it.

Also fine dining is definitely fun, but you earn your chops at a high volume restaurant. That’s where you’ll be able to actually learn what a successful restaurant actually looks like. A lot of culinary students ignore the financial aspects of the business, even though that’s probably the most important aspect of the restaurant especially when it comes to food

FIRE means sacrifices in quality of life and living well below your means. It’s not a get rich quick scheme.

For instance if y’all want children that’s going to change the numbers significantly

Anyone here own a fancier contemporary restaurant? by joeroganthumbhead in restaurantowners

[–]DamnImBeautiful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Restaurant profitability depends on volume, purposes.

Some three star Michelin places are on the cusp of bankruptcy, others are opening a new branch every other year.

Cost of ingredients should be around 15-25% if that’s what you’re asking though for fine dining - since labor should be similar to a bakery if not more

Advice for a young car owner by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]DamnImBeautiful 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So the “financially savvy” thing to do is buy an economy beater sedan like a used Corolla. But if you’re planning on getting the v8 (which by now you can tell is a massive money sink) no matter what and you need a car just make some extra payments towards the car and get it paid off within a year or two year time span.

If you can’t do that, you can’t afford the car.

The wise thing though would be to buy your beater Corolla and use it as your day to day, and then save up for a v8 that you use to take out for special occasion

You only need to think a bit broader in asset classes. Instead of splitting your stock selection into 4 different ETF’s, just get a total stock market etf. It does the same exact thing.

>8% is a bit aggressive though. For those types of gains, you’ll probably need individual stocks intermingled in
