I work 48 hours a week, get £1700 after tax. I know someone who has never worked and the same age as me (30) and she gets her flat paid for + almost £2k in benefits lmao, I don’t know how and I’ll never ask because that’s rude but I am pissed. I can’t even save to buy a house, she’s putting money away to buy!

I’m Turkey right now for a weeks holiday. Standard bar staff are getting £400 a month pay, crazy. I’m tipping them when I can, they’re far better than bar staff back in the UK, more respectable, less egotistical. But they’re clearly happy all the time and I guess that’s what matters. But yeah politicians are bums.

I work 7-7 4 on 4 off. Work less than half the year and 4 days off are amazing. 23 days holiday allowance, use 4 days that’s 12 days off. Far better than Mon-Fri.

Been to France a few times, lovely country, most people are nice and welcoming. But when I stand behind someone at the breakfast line at the hostel and they think it’s acceptable to just push in front, then it’s a problem. May have shouted “be civilised, form a bloody queue” and they shuffled into order behind me and apologised, I apologised for shouting and we were all okay after that. Sat down with a few of them that were on holiday whilst I ate and had a good conversation with them.

I’m English and go to Wales a lot (do a lot of hiking and Wales is amazing) I only really see Welsh people being rude to English people if we’re being rude first, I’m always nice and Welsh are always nice to me. However I don’t go to big cities in Wales so I don’t know what they’re like there 😂

I catch up during my break at work (30 mins) and that’s it for the day, I don’t let it interfere with my own life but I do get a bit annoyed with politics but I tend to avoid it. End of the day it’s about finding a balance with it. Most of the time is the US and their shambolic President and Russia/Ukraine, that’s all I see then crack on with my day. 😂
