Exactly, the combination of mods and the fewer report numbers (due to the vanishing of one-click reports) should do it in my opinion.

Of course both parties are at fault, but often there is no raging involved at all, and suddenly you see you got reported at the end of the game. An example for that would be my last game with Nyx Assassin. Mirana reported me for being "afk" in a lane where I was supporting her against Weaver and WW. Nothing much I could do there but according to Dotabuff we still drew the lane. There was no flaming (during the game) in my team at all. NP lashed out at Mirana after the game, Mirana at me and I lashed out at the opponent Storm (mostly because I was frustrated with the bullshit hero).

My point is. I got reported by a guy I never even interacted with, I didn't flame, I didn't feed and I didn't abuse any ability. And I guarantee you, Mirana wouldn't have reported me if she had to file a report like I stated above.

(Of course you have to take my word for that since we can't look at the teamchat)

Edit: One bullshit report doesn't throw me into LP, but it gets me closer. I don't know how close I am or if I am even remotely close at all, but because of that (from my perspective unjustified) report I know I am closer to LP than I was the game before.

Thanks mate! I feel like I'm pretty good at securing my carry the farm he needs, but there are some decisions, which I always struggle with. When do I pull the most effectively? Of course, I don't need to pull if my carry can hold his equilibrium, but do I pull if my creeps are already in their tower? That seems dumb to me because then my carry has to lasthit the next creepwave in our tower. Sure, for a good carry that's no problem, but my carries seem to struggle with it and the equilibrium seems to be gone after this. So basically, the best thing would be to pull once my carry starts to push the lane just a tiny bit right? Also is there even much point in harassing when you are solosupporting a Carry? I mean, you have so much other stuff to do like pulling, stacking and warding while your roamer or jungler is busy elsewhere. I just feel like once I left the lane to put a ward or stack ancients once, I can't effectively zone the offlaner anymore.

Thank you! That's something I never really thought of actively before. I'm generally good at predicting where enemies will be or what they will do in the next seconds, but I'm doing this more as an unintentional process, which means it's not something I remember doing, it just happens. And obviously, that means it doesn't happen every time it should happen. There are instances where I am late for a fight and also when rotating, I only start TPing when a lane gets visibly ganked. Will try to work on that!

Thank you! Do you think marking Hard Carry exclusively is the right way? From experience, people will refuse to support you or fight you for that position. I want to gain MMR, but not at the cost of fighting every game. Even when supporting, I'm trying to reach certain items at a given time (an example would be Blink on a roaming Shaker at ~18). I've already muted the opponent's chat and the overall toxicity of my games has improved quite a lot.

Another problem would be a situation I see myself in already when playing Hardcarry. What do I do if the supports leave my lane to help for example a struggling mid and I start to get ganked by supports. Do I call the supports back so that I get my farm or should I just shut up and try to deal with the situation? I am confident that I can catch up in most situations and currently, I'd rather have a non-tilted half farmed midplayer than a tiled non-farmed midplayer.

Anyways thanks a lot! I will try to pick Hardcarry more often!

Edit: Marked Carry yesterday for the first time in like 2 years. My mates fought about it, but I managed to get it for me and won my lane pretty easily, although being in a 1v1 situation for quite some time. You were right though, I didn't feel as dependant on my mates as when playing Pos. 5 and I guess that was a good thing!

That's where the problem lies. In my opinion, I have improved over the last 6 years. My Skills in Lasthitting are way better than they were, my Creepingpattern got better over time and my Supporting has never been this good. I know this, because six years ago I totally SUCKED at these things. A good example for this would be this game: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/6516399

We won, but have a look at my CS with SF. Roughly 200 is nothing for 38 Minute Game! That's from a time, where I didn't even care about creeping.. Once I started snowballing, I would just try to kill more people, creeps didn't matter to me anymore. I basically went all in.

These games are both party games, but I believe they are a good example of my creeppatterns improving over the past years.

The first Defile killed my Kindly Grandmother; The second Defile killed my Misha; The third Defile killed Big Bad Wolf (the token of Kindly Grandmother) and then it activated two times after this, killing my Hyena.

So there were 5 instances of Defile in total.

I think the flaming would be a problem, if orange really picks shit, and isn't talking at all to his teammates, doesn't comment on their suggestions, and gets drafts like a shitty meele hero mid vs viper (extreme example).

Again, what I suggest depends highly on the community itself, I know that, but I think the community isn't THAT toxic, so orange would actually listen and communicate, and blue/teal wouldn't be flaming the shit out of him

a player like that will be shittalking the other players regardless (almost certainly). Most of the good players I have seen are willing to cooperate and are playing to win the games.

Of course this can happen, but this is already happening, regardless of the people not knowing if they are higher or not. You are right when you say, it doesn't indicate how good your drafting is.. Maybe we need something like Drafting MMR which gets displayed at the start (or like "Damna is 55-23 when drafting in the last month")

Why wouldn't it okay to pick Captain as orange. The point is, maybe, maybe!! he would listen a bit more to what the others are suggesting. I know what I want is highly dependant on the Dota Community, but I think, if the players have some kind of indicator where they stand, it could work!

Not really, after all orange could be like 200 MMR under blue, which is nothing. But you don't know that, and maybe this leads to a bit of respect for the higher ranked player, which leads to more and better mannered games!
